We were late booking our stay & had to contact the booking agent. Everything was sorted for booking & arriving the same day. We made contact with owners & were sent clear instructions and guidance for our arrival. On arrival we were shown a parking space and Barbara gave us walk through of the cottage & all the facilities. Also left for us was milkRead more, bread, cheese & butter all locally produced. Nothing was to much bother for our hosts and Robert let me use his facilities for my vehicle Hide

We chose this property because it did not allow pets. This is an important message for those who do not wish to interact with animals. There are two large dogs which have free access to the communial compound area day and night. They attempted to enter the property when we tried to open the patio doors and once aware of our presence appeared at Read morethe doors frequently during all hours of the day and night. We found this disconcerting and it precluded our use of the outdoor space. Please be aware

Response from holidaycottages.co.uk ~ Thank you for your feedback, the owner has been sent your feedback and has shared that the dogs are their pets and roam their private gardens.

This is a well appointed property, lovingly looked after by the owners, adjacent to an orchard on a large dairy farm, it is peaceful and has some squirrels resident nearby. It was a joy to stay at the cottage for a week and travel to nearby villages and the city of Chester to see historical sites.

Comfortable cottage that warmed up quickly when the weather turned chilly. Overton is great for food shopping and there's plenty to see and do in the area. Downside is that driving is the safest way to get about as roads are narrow and fast without pedestrian provision.
