Close to the pretty village of Overton, an ideal base for exploring Shropshire and its borders. Keen walkers and cyclists can ride and stride long canals, riverside trails and discover the Maelor Way (1.6 miles) and Berwyn mountains (27.4) miles). The vibrant towns of Wrexham (8.3 miles), Oswestry (9 miles) and Llangollen (13.7 miles) are nearby. Visit Bangor on Dee (4.5 miles) which is famed for its racecourse, or take a trip on the horse-drawn canal boat in Llangollen. Visit National Trust properties Chirk Castle (8.7 miles) and Erddig (8.5 miles), Ellesmere Lake (5.5 miles) and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (9.6 miles) to name but a few attractions.

It is a lovely space to rustle up a meal with your local purchases from your travels. If making dinner enjoy your meal here or at the dining table in the lounge. After dinner relax on the sofa, watch a film on the Smart TV or plan your holiday activities, maybe light the wood burner for cosier nights in. Meanwhile in the utility room you’ll find a washing machine. The cottage has two bedrooms: one king-size and one king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a 2ft 6" twin on request). There is a stylish shower room with WC for a leisurely start to the day.
In the large orchard, which is shared with the adjoining cottage, there’s garden furniture and a BBQ - great for summer evenings.
