Discover this beautiful countryside retreat located close to the Mid Devon village of Templeton. Here, you are perfectly located to explore the gorgeous county of Devon and you can have the best of both worlds with its stunning coastline and dramatic moorland, leaving you spoilt for choice when it comes to exploring. There are beautiful walks locally, or on Dartmoor, Exmoor or along the South West Coast Path overlooking the stunning Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis or the kids favourite, fossil hunting at Charmouth beach. Wimbleball Lake is 17 miles away and offers a range of sailing, kayaking, paddle-boarding and pretty walking trails.  If you want to visit the beach, Exmouth, Sidmouth and Branscombe are well worth a visit for a swim or dog walk. Closer to home, the town of Tiverton boasts a pretty canal and from here you can hire a horse drawn barge or visit The National Trust properties in the area including Killerton and Knightshayes. Bickleigh offers The Devon Steam Railway and Mill for family fun. Exeter ( 18 miles ) offers bespoke shops, eateries and the lovely Cathedral. You can hire cycles and kayaks to explore the paths and estuaries  direct from the bustling quay in the middle of town. Crealy  Adventure Park f high octane thrills orHaldon Forest for biking trails and Go Ape - swinging high in the tree's, make for a super day of memories. Take your dog along the golden sands at Saunton (34 miles). With three miles of dog-friendly beach on the gorgeous North Devon coastline, the longer trip is well-worth it, and you can whet your appetite at the beachside restaurant or with traditional fish and chips in nearby Braunton (32 miles). From coast to moor, the winding tracks and trails which zig-zag their way across Exmoor National Park are perfect for dramatic hikes with breathtaking rugged views. Enjoy a pitstop in Dulverton (11.5 miles) en route and pick up delicious picnic goodies which you can enjoy at Landacre Bridge (22 miles).

Step inside this wonderful up-side-down property to find yourself in the ground-floor hallway which leads to both of the bedrooms. The first bedroom faces the front and features twin beds with a smart TV. The twin bedroom has a lovely en-suite shower room comprising of a wardrobe and chest of drawers and a walk-in shower cubicle and WC. To the back of the property is the fabulous second bedroom which features an impressive four-poster king-size bed. This bedroom also benefits from an en-suite shower room with a shower cubicle and WC, and has access to the garden through the French doors to open up the space for some fresh, countryside air. Moving upstairs, you will find the open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area, a light and spacious area complete with rural views. The living room has comfortable seating for all guests and makes the perfect spot to put your feet up after a day of walking, in front of the Smart TV. The dining space is conveniently located next to the kitchen making it a great place for a homecooked meal. The well-equipped kitchen comprises an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, and dishwasher. There is also a useful utility room that houses a washing machine and has an additional sink and WC.

Moving outside, there is an enclosed garden to the rear of the property which is a great space to soak up some sun or allow your dogs to stretch their legs. You can see for miles from the views in the sheep field and watch out for birds of prey, rabbits and deer.

There is allocated parking in front of the property for two cars.

This is a really lovely cottage in a wonderful location. We were able to relax and enjoy the countryside but also drive to some great locations.

Rogford Barn is in a super location, so peaceful and relaxing with lovely views. The Barn is well equipped, the beds are really comfortable , good showers and nicely decorated. The hosts Matthew and Ginah were really helpful and friendly and the Lemon drizzle cake was awesome. Would definitely recommend .

What a fabulous property, amazing views, if your after a peaceful relaxing place to stay then this is the place. It's well equipped, the beds are so comfortable.

Lovely relaxing cottage in a very quiet location. Beds are super comfy. Milk and cake already In the cottage on arrival, the cake was delicious. An upside down cottage so that you get the most out of the views across the fields, but also means that it's lovely and cool downstairs for sleeping on warm nights. Have absolutely no complaints about our Read morestay. Matthew the owner was very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again Hide

Lovely cottage and amenities, comfy beds, lots of hot water for showers, beautiful outlook from garden and very quiet and lots of wildlife to watch. Beautiful starry night skies a bonus. Absolute fabulous cottage. Matthew was the perfect host and makes a mean lemon drizzle cake. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be returning.
