Beautiful and quirky cob house with a secure garden (perfect for our inquisitive cocker spaniel). Comfy beds, clean bed linen and well stocked kitchen. Lovely setting right on the River Exe. Friendly hosts. It is a working farm, wonderful Belted Galloways. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely hosts & great location by the river Exe - fabulous for birdwatching and plenty of walks, cafes & pubs nearby. Wifi was good during our stay, which was a pleasant surprise. TV channel choice was limited (and slow to operate) but plenty of books, puzzles & games supplied. Although neat & tidy, we thought the cottage needed a bit of TLC.

Lovely homely cottage, well equipped in a beautiful location. As wildlife enthusiasts it was ideal for us just being able to walk to the river and watch the birds, butterflies and insects. Richard and Alison were lovely hosts and very knowledgeable.

A return visit for us, we love the quiet, relaxed nature of this property and our dog enjoys the space to roam around the fields. Its great to have access to the Ex for a paddle. We loved staying in this unique house with our three dogs on this regenerative farm. In fact it is a small farm and is really quiet. Richard is passionate and knowledgeable about the impact this style of farming is having on the environment. I was amazed to see red listed birds for instance the Willow Tit. There was an abundance of pollinators and Read moreinsects, more than I've seen anywhere else. A very special haven for wildlife. Just love it there and can't wait to return to Otters Holt.
