Enjoying an elevated location within the rolling Welsh countryside, this stylish farmhouse welcomes up to six guests and is simply perfect for spending time with family and friends. This area of the national park is great for outdoor adventures; Llangorse Lake is only 4.5 miles away where you can hire rowing boats, kayaks, Canadian canoes or fishing boats. Enthusiastic walkers can take advantage of the surrounding hillsides – Pen-Y-Fan is the highest point within the park boasting incredible views and Talybont Reservoir, the River Usk and the Brecon Canal offer a more gentle stroll. Other local activities include climbing, mountain biking and horse riding. BikePark Wales, the beautiful waterfall walks at Pont Nedd Fechan, and Zip World at Tower Colliery are all within a 30-mile radius. There are some lovely market towns close by too, such as Hay-on-Wye, known as the town of books, Crickhowell, and Brecon, all within 14 miles.

Surrounded by countryside within its own grounds, you have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the views as you arrive. Access is through the side of the property into the hub of the home: the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner which is open plan and spacious. The kitchen area is modern and well equipped offering everything you may need for preparing meals. The generously sized table and chairs sit up to six guests comfortably with the added advantage of mountain views. This space also has a sofa and TV. The open-plan hallway offers access to a spacious lounge, perfect for relaxing and catching up with friends. There is a Smart TV here for a movie and a door that offers access to the grounds. The ground floor also benefits from a utility room – perfect for muddy boots and coats – and a cloakroom with a WC. Upstairs. depart the spacious landing to find the three generously sized bedrooms, all of which enjoy views across the surrounding hillsides. There’s a king-size room with an en-suite shower, his and hers sinks and WC, a double bedroom and a zip-and-link twin (that can be made into a super-king-size on request). A beautiful bathroom with a bath and WC completes the interior.

Outside, the farmhouse is surrounded by an enclosed garden with a patio area where guests can enjoy views across the Black Mountains and Pen-y-Fan. There is seating here along with a fire pit. For children, a fixed play area with a slide, swings and a small climbing frame can be found on the grass.

A gorgeous property with the most amazing views. Fabulous garden on all sides of the house, very private and in a tranquil countryside setting. The house is spotless and the owner very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Thank you for a lovely relaxing holiday. We would love to return!

This is a wonderful house. It has fantastic views, is really spacious and light, and is well equipped and very clean. We have been twice now and couldn't recommend it highly enough.

This cottage is in an idyllic setting. The photos do not give a true impression of how spacious this property is and while it is remote it is close to Brecon with all its facilities. We found it a perfect location for walking Offas Dyke and canoeing on the river Wye. We cannot recomend it enough.

Ty Penybryn is simply wonderful. We felt very welcome. The house has everything one needs to enjoy time away from home. The host is amazing and would do anything if required. The location is great and the views just superb. We will definitely go back.

Really lovely place to stay and felt very much home from home. Beautiful location with great views of the rolling hills. We were lucky to have a couple of clear nights that meant a sky full of stars. Stunning. Would recommend staying here if you want to escape the noise of life

Really cosy cottage in a beautiful location, cottage is rural but very convenient for Brecon and surrounding areas. The cottage was really clean and had everything we needed for a really lovely week away. We will definitely be coming back for another visit.

Honestly no review or pictures do this place any justice, if you think the pictures look good your in for a super surprise when you arrive, breathtaking views, peace and quiet in a lovely location and only 5 miles from the town of Bracon, book it, visit it and thank me later!!!

The house itself is beautiful and the views are absolutely stunning, you cant stop looking at them! There is everything you could need for a fantastic holiday. We visited the indoor activity center, kayaked on Llangorse lake, zip lined at Zip world, did part of the waterfall walk, along the Brecon canal and went to Craig y Nos country park. OUTSTANDING views we didn't actually go to many places because we found the cottage relaxing enough. The cottage itself had everything you needed and more. We even got to meet thr cows and sheep on the farm. Would 100% come back I bet it's lovely on a snowy day.

Lovely large cottage well equipped and clean. Set in a beautiful and peaceful location. Ideal for exploring Brecon national park and surrounding area.
