The Georgian village of Hartland is just a short drive away (5 miles) where shops, pubs and Hartland Abbey can be found. This attractive rural retreat is set on a working farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the edge of Bursdon Moor. Hartland Quay is a wonderful spot to enjoy the sunshine. The quaint village of Clovelly is just 7 miles away, and the town of Bude (13 miles) boasts a variety of shops and restaurants, beautiful sandy beaches and an outside sea pool. For keen cyclists or for a more leisurely ride, the Tarka Trail offers miles of unspoilt views. There is something for every age range nearby: surfing and sandcastle building at the large sandy beach at Westward Ho! (16 miles), adrenaline-fuelled fun at the Milky Way Adventure Park and North Devon Wake Park (7 miles) and getting up close with the animals at the Big Sheep Adventure Park (14 miles).
Step inside the entrance hall and find an area with plenty of room to kick off shoes and boots. You are immediately drawn to the large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which can be found on your right, this room is bright with the natural light that floods in through the large picture windows, making it a pleasant place at any time of the day and the social hub of the barn. The kitchen area has everything you need to cater for mealtimes and a dining table set centrally also allows meals to be enjoyed together. The lounge area has a warming wood burner and a comfortable sofa where you can relax and watch your favourite films on the Smart TV. From here, on a warm day, you can open the French doors leading out to the patio area and garden. Heading back through to the entrance hall, you will find two bedrooms: each with a king size xip and link bed which can be made into twins on request. The family bathroom is nearby and at the other end of the barn is the master bedroom with a king-size bed, an en-suite shower room and French doors leading out onto the patio. All bedrooms have Smart TVs.
Outside is a large patio area with garden furniture, a fire pit and a charcoal BBQ, making this a great place to enjoy al fresco meals or evening drinks.
