This fantastic property sits on a family farm, where cider apples and blackcurrants grow alongside a racehorse enterprise, and firewood business. You can enjoy a walk across acres of farmland, which features a lake with seating strategically placed for watching wildlife – the whole area is a birdwatchers’ and nature lovers’ dream. For a more challenging walk, head further afield to the Black Mountains (it’s only 17 miles to the Black Hill) or Offa’s Dyke Path (23 miles). The River Wye
meanders close by, where you can hire a canoe locally or even have a paddleboard tour at Preston on Wye (3 miles). A trip to Hay-on-Wye, famous for its bookshops and renowned book festival, is highly recommended (15 miles). Canoe hire is also available here. The cathedral city of Hereford (8 miles), food hub of Ludlow (29 miles), and “Gateway to Wales” Abergavenny (24 miles) are well worth a visit.

The interior of this holiday home is finished to a very high standard with luxury elements throughout. The ground floor is both cosy and spacious, finished with a clever mix of vibrant colours and rustic textures. On entering, hang your coat on one of the conveniently placed pegs set into the exposed beams. The open-plan living space at the heart of the barn features exposed brickwork and includes a characterful desk. Sit back and relax with friends in front of the wood burner or enjoy a movie on the Smart TV. Head through to the kitchen/dining area, where you can dine in style while taking in the views across the gardens and lake. At one end of this room is a cosy seating area where you can enjoy a chapter of a good book or play one of the many board games provided. A utility room with WC completes the ground-floor layout. Upstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms off a spacious landing. The master bedroom has a super-king-size bed and retains the original feature of the granary steps., while the second bedroom has a super-king-size bed and can be made up as a twin on request. In the bathroom, have a soak in the free-standing bath or enjoy the wet room-style rainfall shower.

The lawned garden, accessed through bi-fold doors from the kitchen, is a great space for relaxing. Lie out on one of the sun loungers, enjoy a BBQ on the patio or roast marshmallows over the fire pit. There is bike storage and off-road allocated parking for two cars in the covered carport.

What a beautiful place to stay! We were made to feel so welcome and had the best time. The beds were so comfortable. The welcome pack was exceptional. Everything was so clean. Gorgeous location. Id definitely return and considering Id normally say I dont go to the same place twice, this is an exception to my rule!

Weve stayed at a lot of cottages and this is definitely the best. So comfortable, stylish, excellently equipped & beautiful landscape- we really didnt want to leave. The owners were very welcoming and helpful with ideas of places to visit however we were quite happy exploring the local area and their farmland. We had a fabulous week at this beautiful property. No wonder there are many repeat guests. Its very well equipped and has a nice relaxing feel about it. There is a lovely garden to relax in and to watch and listen to the birds. It ideal for visiting the Hay festival, with loads of other things to do in the area. We visited the Cider Museum, HereforRead mored Cathedral and The Weir Garden is just a few miles away. Would also recommend the food at the Red Lion. Hide

This is our 5th stay here! We absolutely love it! Everything about the cottage is perfect, from the comfy bed, crisp linens, tasteful decor and the well stocked kitchen. This place has everything you would need and more. The setting is incredible, you can just sit and watch a range of wildlife around the lake. This is the most beautiful property. Everything you could ever wish for is catered for by the wonderful owners. Its spotlessly clean, furnished to an extremely high standard and you feel at home the moment you set foot in the door. The location is breathtaking and theres loads to do in the area. The Granary was a truly wonderful experience. It is clear for anyone to see that Anna has taken great care in making it a home from home. The fixtures and fittings are of a luxury standard, but the property still feels cosy. The added extra touches, such as flowers, generous welcome pack, and information make you feel very welcome. The Granary is the perfect cottage in every way! Its location is incredible, open the curtains & the folding doors & look out over the lake and fields. Watch the heron, swifts, hares, rabbits & squirrels potter about, and if you are lucky you may hear or see the woodpecker! A great home away from home. Very kind land lords that are available but with respect for our privacy. We enjoyed our stay and the evenings with the sunset over the horse fields.

The Granary barn is probably the best we have stayed in. The decor, furnishings and space of the barn were excellent. The kitchen was spot on.
