The cottage feels like home from the moment you enter the door! You feel at peace and you feel safe. There are so many little extra touches that you can appreciate. There are guides to local places of interest and the maps showing local walks are really useful. It is situated in a quiet and friendly village with shops just a short drive away. The Dovecote is a smart compact 'cottage' in a lovely area. We stayed as a base to visit Lincoln & Bomber Command, Epworth (Wesley's House), and Humber Bridge. In the evenings, we did the supplied walks from the Dovecote which are great and give loads of photo opportunities of the unique landscape (views stretch for miles and the setting sun lightsRead more up the fields in all sorts of colours depending on the crops). We saw a couple of deer & glimpsed a badger along the canal. Hide

A lovely cottage in a rural area that was great for walking. Clumber Park about half an hour away which was a lovely place to explore. Welcoming host. Comfortable cottage with all that we needed. Clean and comfortable. We would return without hesitation.

Lovely cottage beatifully appointed and very comfortable. The local pub nice but with limited food 3 days a week. Plenty of alternatives though, notably The Sun at Everton and The Ship at Bawtry both within easy driving distance and something to offer for all. All dog friendly. Area really pretty, great for exploring and walking.with lots to offer.Read more Canals near by and another hostelry The Boat definately worth a visit. Recommend trip to Lincoln for the Cathedral and Old town. Great value. Hide
