Ascending to the top floor, you'll find two further bedrooms – a twin room and a spacious super-king room, along with another bathroom featuring a shower/WC, providing ample space and comfort for larger groups.

  • Ventnor Beach 2 miles, shop 1.5 miles and pub 0.8 miles
  • Please note, this is an old but comfortably modernised period house and as such parents must ensure that it is their responsibility to ensure small children/infants are properly supervised at all times. We very much welcome dogs but as we are a working sheep farm we would appreciate that dogs are kept on leads in any communal areas and on the main yard.
  • Guests would need to bring their own cot and highchair
  • Please do not leave dogs unattended or allow them on the furniture or in the bedrooms
  • Electric vehicle charging is not permitted due to fire risk, charging points are available at Ventnor Car Park opposite Tesco and at Morrisons Lake

Marcey was the perfect hostess. Lovely flowers and a substantial welcome pack greeted us on our arrival. The place was spotless and we were allowed access early which was great. Very comfortable beds. We had the four poster which has the bath in the en-suite. Slight mistake as we kept getting invaded by the kids wanting a bubble bath. Location was Read moregreat with views over the fields and hills. As a working farm, there were animals around us at the back. Kids loved seeing the newborn lambs. We were there over Easter and weather was perfect- not what I was expecting at all from the forecasts. Large properties like this are few and far between so if you are a big party, check this property out. Hide

Span Farmhouse is a perfect setting for a family Island holiday. It is superbly equipped, has lots of space, including a large comfortable lounge and a spacious kitchen, plus enough toilets and showers for the whole family! It is on a quiet lane near Wroxall yet only ten minutes from Shanklin and Ventnor with any lovely walks from the door (even inRead more the rain!) A week at Span Cottage in early October was refreshening and a delight. The property is fabulous and was spotless.. Kitchen is very well equipped . This farmhouse was perfect for our wider family holiday together. The kitchen was spacious for several of us to be cooking together, and excellently equipped with lots of large pots and pans, and lots of cutlery & crockery & glassware. The fridge freezer was big enough for our large shopping order. The house itself was lovely as was Marcey and in a beautiful location. However the above issues need to be addressed to make the house suitable for 12 people. Another major issue was the right hand oven door which we could only use with a chair against it with a heavy weight on it. As we were catering for 11 people we needed both ovens. A lovely large old farmhouse which is surprisingly warm. Grandchildren loved it and nice to have a private driveway to park all 3 cars in. Easy to get around island from there. Lovely nearby walk to Apeldurcome House.. enjoyed a very happy week there.
