Property code: OC-90971

Converted from a former dairy and milk house, this delightful barn has been transformed into elegant and cosy accommodation for four. Nestled on the edge of the owners’ working farm, it enjoys stunning views over the surrounding countryside and benefits from a multitude of scenic footpaths and cycle trails from the doorstep. Almscliffe Cragg is less than a mile away and offers spectacular views from the top, and is an excellent spot for rock climbing. The Yorkshire Dales and Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty can be reached within 4 miles, the market town of Otley within 7 miles, and the vibrant spa town of Harrogate is also just 7 miles away. Here, you will find a whole host of popular amenities including the Turkish Baths, Valley Gardens and the Royal Pump Museum, as well as a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy, including the infamous Betty's tearoom. Other popular attractions in the area include Ripley Castle (10 miles), Brimham Rocks (15 miles) and the monastery ruins at Fountains Abbey (20 miles).

All on one level, this delightful, converted barn is full of surprises with lovely high ceilings, exposed beams, and quirky features alongside the thoughtful little luxuries to ensure a memorable stay. Take in all its charm as you step into the boot room, the perfect place to leave muddy coats and wellies after a day of exploring. Here, you will also find a handy WC. Step through to the main hub of the house, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner boasting vaulted ceilings and large patio doors, and windows that flood the room with light. The warming wood burner will entice you to sit back and relax amongst the tasteful soft furnishings that blend simply with the rustic charm and enjoy your favourite film on the Smart TV. The kitchen area, contemporary in style, is equipped with everything you could need to rustle up a homecooked meal, whether it be lazy brunches or a delicious evening feast. When the day is done, head down the hallway where you will find two comfortable bedrooms: a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as twins on request), and a king-size. There is also a bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC.

Opening the French doors from the lounge, you will find yourself on the elevated, enclosed patio. Sit back around the table, breathe in the fresh countryside air, and enjoy a glass of fizz or BBQ whilst taking in the spectacular countryside views.
