The welcoming lounge/diner gives you a comfortable space to unwind, with a cosy gas fire and Smart TV for those relaxing evenings in your countryside retreat. There's a dining table that's perfect for family meals or fun board game nights, and patio doors that lead straight to the outdoor area. You'll find the kitchen has everything you need for whipping up home-cooked meals in this getaway – it's equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. There are two lovely king-size bedrooms in the cottage, and one can be converted to 2ft6" twin beds if you'd prefer – just tell us when you book. The modern shower room with WC completes your accommodation, and it's worth noting that both the bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor – great for accessibility.

Step outside and you'll find a patio garden where you can enjoy alfresco dining or sip evening drinks on nights during your rural retreat. There's private off-road parking for two cars, and if you're bringing bikes, storage can be arranged – just ask in advance.

A lovely property, in a quiet and beautiful setting with stunning sunsets over the Wear valley, yet only ten minutes drive from Bishop Auckland which boasts nearly every national supermarket and good bus and train connections. Lots to see and do in the area. Hello , Our vacation was great , thanks to the our Hosts who were very freindly and helpfull . The cottage is nice and tidy ,location is very important to me as well as walking around . Footpaths are every where .durely we are comming back.

A wonderful, peaceful location with friendly, welcoming hosts. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The list of local pubs and restaurants provided by the hosts prior to our arrival was really useful - thank you!
