The detached property is located within the grounds of a farm, which offers a range of activities from walking with llamas and alpacas to fishing the farm’s pond stocked with carp, roach and tench. This is an ideal place to stay if you enjoy cycling and walking as it benefits from direct access to the renowned Stenbury and Worsley trails. The quintessential English village of Godshill, within a short walk of the cottage, boasts some of the oldest architecture on the island and is known for being the site of the first Isle of Wight festival back in 1968. Godshill is also home to popular pubs, restaurants, cafes (including a vegan one!) and tea rooms for those memorable meals out.

Enter this comfortable cottage and come into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, air fryer and washing machine. You may be lucky enough to see red squirrels and wild birds feeding a short distance away on their feeders of which the bay window in the lounge gives a good view. With a hand built settee suite, Smart TV/DVD and DAB/Bluetooth Radio, this is a lovely space to snuggle up in at the end of a fun packed day. There is ample seating at the dining table for you all to sit and enjoy family meals. The bathroom can also be found on the ground floor, complete with shower over bath and WC. Head up to the first floor where both bedrooms are located. The main bedroom with double bed boasts wonderful views over the countryside as does the second bedroom which has twin beds.

The lawned garden at the side of the cottage borders the wonderful Isle of Wight countryside. An outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining is the ideal setting for a family holiday. You will feel surrounded by nature here. Parking for one car is located at the front of the cottage.

Had a fantastic holiday in this cottage. The area was so peaceful but close to Godshill, you could even walk in and have a meal and drink. The cottage was big, bed and sofa/chairs comfortable. Kitchen had everything you could want. Lots of wardrobe and chest of draws space. Lots of great walks in countryside.

Lovely cottage in a great location for local dog walks and the pretty village of Godshill. We really enjoyed our stay here, a quiet, peaceful and picturesque place to explore the island from. Many thanks

Was a bit wary when booking about the 25 waiver or 200 deposit. Went for the 200 deposit option. Regretted as we have come back off holiday and have apparently damaged the cot. We left the cottage the same state it was in if not better as it wasnt very clean at all. Wouldnt recommend as it seems a bit of a scam to pull some extra money back. Pat teRead moresting was out of date on the electric equipment. Shame as godshill is a lovely place and good location to explore the island. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk - thank you for your review. We have spoken to the owner and your issue has now been resolved. Hide

The location of this cottage is lovely - very quiet and with lots of walks right on the doorstep. The bedrooms did get very warm when we stayed (it was an exceptionally warm week in May) but the downstairs stayed very cool. The general state of repair was not quite what we've come to expect from a holiday home but that is a subjective assessment baRead moresed on our expectations. Hide

The cottage was in a great location for lots of walks. When we were over it was a big foggy and windy but we still managed to get out and was nice to come back to a warm cottage. The farm was lovely and my children loved being shown around by the farmers granddaughter and getting to walk the ponies. Lovely place and would recommend.

Our stay at Pheasant Cottage Godshill was fabulous. It is an idyllic location and if you love animals you will be surrounded. Lots of lovely walks accessible from the cottage and also a short walk into Godshill. The owners Mark and Kathy are lovely friendly people. The cottage while very comfortable and clean is very well equipped allowing for those who prefer to self cater to cook scrumptious meals. We had an issue in that someone had left a CD jammed in the CD player. Mark was quick to respond and when he couldnt fix it went out that day and installed all new equipment. He then took the time to show us how to use it. Kathy will show you all the lovely animals and birds, a joy to watch the interaction. Highly recommended. We will be back! Hide
