An attractive, North Cornwall holiday home, this exquisite stone barn makes an idyllic retreat for larger groups of friends and relatives. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom abode sits with two other converted farm barns in picturesque, landscaped gardens, 1.5 miles from St Issey and 4 miles from Wadebridge. Venture 5.5 miles into Padstow to explore the harbour town, with its colourful shops and famous seafood restaurants. Take a pedestrian ferry from here over to Rock, with golden sands and clear waters. Head to the beach at Trevone Bay, 6 miles away, or Harlyn Bay, 8 miles away, both popular with families and surfers. Make your way into Wadebridge to stock up on local produce or hire bicycles and pedal out along the tranquil Camel Trail, which runs for about 18 miles along an old railway line. Take the youngsters to the Camel Creek Family Adventure Park, just 2 miles from the retreat. Or venture out along the Saints Way footpath into Padstow which passes the cottage.

Return from discovering your magical surroundings to make special memories together at this spacious cottage. Head inside to find yourselves in bright, airy accommodation with an exceptional finish throughout. Gorgeous, rustic beams are complemented by natural wood floors and exposed stonework. The expansive, open-plan lounge/diner is the perfect area to chat, play games and dine together in comfort. Stoke up the roaring wood burner, then sink back into one of the curved, comfortable sofas to admire your scenic rural surroundings through the patio doors or to watch the Smart TV. Play a game together at the table, then lay it with crockery and glasses, ready to dine. Your country-look kitchen area is down one step from the main space. A handy utility room and two of your beautiful bedrooms are also on the ground floor down one step. These include a king-size, with an en-suite shower room, and a twin. There is also a bathroom at this level. Head up the wooden staircase to find your remaining bedrooms, another king-size, with an en-suite shower room, and a super-king-size, with an en-suite shower room and zip-and-link beds that can be made into a twin on request.

Guests at the retreat enjoy shared access to rolling, 2-acre grounds, with a children’s play area and a secluded outside dining space. Have summer lunches out here on sunny days and a tipple on fine evenings as the sun sets. There is private parking for three cars.
