Located in beautiful, wooded countryside in the town of Glaston in the Irvine Valley, home to plenty of historic sites, including Barr Castle and Loudon Kirk. The 18th-century stately home, Dumfries House, 12.5 miles away, offers some beautifully scenic woodland walks, a quaint café and adventure playground, perfect for children. Hidden inside the Ayr Gorge Woodland, formed around a magnificent red sandstone canyon, Peden's Cove, 8.5 miles away, a set of steps carved into the red sandstone cliffs, is well worth a visit. Under 15 miles away, the stunning coastline awaits, adorned with promenades and sandy beaches. For those seeking urban excitement, the vibrant city of Glasgow is only 25 miles away. Golf enthusiasts will find themselves in paradise, with the renowned Turnberry just 30 miles away, Royal Troon Golf Club just 17 miles away, and locally renowned ‘Gowf Club’ just 2 miles away. Outdoor activities abound, from exceptional fishing, dry ski slope and plenty of child-friendly adventures. The area has direct access to an abundance of walks, dependent on how energetic you’re feeling.

Surrounded by lush green views, this enchanting rural retreat, with its historical ties to the Nisbets dating back to the 1500’s, is the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway with family and friends. This family-owned haven has been lovingly restored to offer a perfect blend of historic character and modern luxury—ideal for large family gatherings, reunions with friends, or special celebrations. Kick off your walking boots and hang up your coat in the light and airy entrance hallway before leading the way into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner at the heart of this home-away-from-home. The barn’s original features have been preserved with thoughtful design, including a lovingly restored arched window that floods the room in plenty of natural sunlight. More architectural beauty can be seen in the wonderfully high vaulted ceilings. Budding chefs will not be disappointed with the sleek, contemporary kitchen, fully equipped with modern appliances and a kitchen island to make cooking a joy, whilst the open plan design means you and your fellow guests are always connected. A large hand-crafted dining table seats 10 comfortably with views of the rolling countryside from the arched window, perfect for shared meals and celebrations. The plush sofas in the spacious lounge invite you to sink in and relax by the wood-burning stove (all logs supplied). Bi-fold doors open onto a private gated courtyard with decking and seating, creating a seamless connection between inside and out. Boasting the same rich, wooden floors as the rest of this homely hideaway, as well as soft, neutral hues that set the scene for relaxation, the barn offers five beautifully appointed bedrooms. These include a king size, a twin and a double, all with en-suite shower rooms, and two additional double bedrooms that share the large family bathroom with bath and multi-jet spa shower—all designed for comfort and style.

Step outside to lawns and seating areas with breathtaking views over the valley, perfect for morning coffee or sunset drinks. Fabulous property! Spacious and well laid out rooms, with everything you need. Property was spotlessly clean. The owners were so helpful and obliging. A welcome pack was left for us which was a lovely gesture. A very relaxing weekend, with the hot tub and sauna making it even more perfect. Would highly recommend!

Amazing place with a view, well thought out , the surrounding farms and access to highland was really great. The showers and en-suite was really convenient, the hot tub is abit far from the house so you most likely freeze getting back indoors all wet. The house was really nice overall

This was the first time spending Christmas as a family. We wanted for nothing, the level of detail was exceptional. Hosts were incredibly accomodating. The property was fabulous and created amazing memories for the family.
