Tucked beneath the mighty presence of Blencathra, one of the Lake District’s most iconic fells, plan a getaway to this dream base for groups or families looking to immerse themselves in the great outdoors. This stone-built retreat is perched on the lower slopes, offering breathtaking views and a front-row seat to some of the best walking and cycling routes in the national park. When it’s time to explore further, the bustling town of Keswick is 6.5 miles away and packed with tempting cafes, lively pubs, and independent shops. After a day of lakeside wanders and mountain adventures, there’s nothing better than heading to the pub and restaurant, just under a mile from the cottage, to refuel with hearty food and maybe a locally brewed pint.

Step inside and instantly feel at home in the cosy lounge, where a comfortable corner sofa invites you to sit back in front of the Smart TV after a day of discovery. A few steps lead up to the well-equipped kitchen and dining area, perfect for preparing everything from lazy breakfasts to hearty evening feasts. Head upstairs to the mezzanine level, where a dedicated workspace with a desk provides a quiet spot to catch up on emails or dive into a good book. The property’s layout makes it well-suited for families or groups, with a double bedroom and a shower room located on the ground floor for easy access. Upstairs, you'll find two further bedrooms tucked beneath charming wooden beams – a double and a room with bunk beds that's sure to be a hit with younger guests. A second shower room on this level ensures there's plenty of space for everyone to freshen up.

Outside, the enclosed rear garden is a real highlight. Lovely last minute getaway at the cottage. very spacious, clean and ideal location to Keswick and walks. We did have a few issues whilst there with our neighbours as they were playing music extremely loud till 3/4am both every night. We did contact holiday cottages to see if someone could have a word but nothing changed. I understand your away to hRead moreave fun but this was just extreme! We were disappointed that nobody had a word with them as we literally couldn't sleep and didn't help that the cottage beds were not comfortable. the cottage is on a working farm which was no issue either! I would likely revisit if we didn't have the issues with the guests in the cottage next to us. Thanks Hide
