Leave behind the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy pure tranquillity at the charming, family-friendly country cottage located on a working sheep farm just a stone’s throw from North Cornwall’s rugged coastline. This quiet spot in North Cornwall’s countryside serves as a playground for keen outdoor explorers, with plenty of scenic trails to enjoy from the doorstep while being perfectly placed near the North Cornwall coast; the golden sands of Trevone Bay Beach can be reached within 6.5 miles. Following a disused railway route, you can cycle or stroll the Camel Trail from Wadebridge, 4.5 miles away, and follow the Camel Estuary to Padstow, 6 miles away. Answer the call of the coast by boarding a boat trip from Padstow Harbour (6 miles) to spot an array of sea life, including dolphins and seals. The charming village of St Issey can be reached within 2 miles.

Beneath the rustic brick exterior, you’ll find an oasis of homely charm in the spacious open-plan lounge/diner that leads on from the entryway. Boasting a roaring wood burner-effect electric fire set in an exposed brickwork fireplace, a Smart TV, natural wood hues, and plenty of homely touches, this is a social hub at the heart of the property. The elegant contemporary kitchen will capture your imagination, inspiring you to whip up something delicious with your tasty local produce. The sophisticated family bathroom is a welcome addition on the ground floor. At the end of a busy day’s exploration, two delightful bedrooms await upstairs; crisp, white linens guarantee a dreamy rest. There is a twin bedroom and a family bedroom featuring one double bed and two single beds; both bedrooms share en-suite access to a Jack-and-Jill WC.

Enjoy your morning coffee at sunrise or a glass of something chilled at sunset from the comfort of the quaint patio in the enclosed lawned garden; the soothing sounds of the surrounding working farm set the scene for pure relaxation. The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed for our stay. It was a great base location for Padstow and Trevone Bay which were our favourite destinations - both about 15 minute drive away. There are some lovely nearby pubs and bakeries, Da Bara is a must visit for beautiful pasties and The Ship Inn, Wadebridge was the best Sunday lunch wRead moreeve had. Overall, we had the relaxing break we had hoped for with beach walks, sunsets and nice food. Thank you to Anna and Luke Hide
