Golfers will enjoy days at Alyth Golf Club, Strathmore Golf Centre and Glenisla Golf Club, all lovely courses within 6.5 miles of this retreat, while well-known Carnoustie is within 30 miles. If you enjoy fishing, the River Tay is 14 miles away, while closer to the retreat, you’ll find beautiful Loch Lintrathen (3 miles) and Backwater Reservoir (6 miles) – please purchase relevant permits. Head into the charming towns of Alyth (5.5 miles) or Blairgowrie (10 miles) for relaxed days out, while the bustling city of Dundee is a 20-mile drive and home to the V&A Museum and the historic RRS Discovery, Captain Scott’s Antarctic expedition ship.

Fantastic location,very quiet with dark skies. One of the few cottages i've visited where I could actually make it my forever home.

This was a fantastic place to stay. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean everywhere. We loved the views and the area roundabout was beautiful. Lots of places to visit within a few miles of the cottage. Think it was the best place we've ever stayed in.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location! We had incredible sunrises and sunsets and even saw the milky way on our first night! The views at the rear of the property are stunning and the cottage is very homely and cosy! We've mentioned to the owners that the gaps between the fence slats are quite big and our young Vizsla did manage to get out but Read moreif the fence was secured further - we would definitely return! Easter Craig Cottage is a beautifully put together and extremely comfortable cottage, with everything you could need. The garden is really secure, so my dog loved spending time running freely around it. I would definitely book again and recommend it.

Beautiful cottage. Clean, cosy and well equipped. Decor is very tasteful and high quality. Great to have a sealed backyard for our dog with stunning views. Would highly recommend for a quiet get away.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, with a stunning view, and I completely fell in love with the kitchen. However, when we booked, the description said dog friendly, so we were a bit disappointed to arrive and find a sign with dog rules saying dogs were only allowed in the kitchen and garden, and not in other rooms. When a place is advertised Read moreas dog friendly, you dont really expect to have to look for that kind of detail in terms and conditions. Unfortunately, because of this rule, we couldnt fully enjoy our stay, as we felt our dog was unhappy being kept apart from us. It did take away from the experience, especially with our young velcro-type dog who loves to be by our side at all times. I think this place would be perfect for people without dogs or with more independent dogs who are happy to stay in one area, but probably not ideal for the ones that like to be glued to your side. The property is furnished to a very high standard. Attention has been paid to every last detail. There are beautiful views to the South and we enjoyed sitting in the garden in the evenings.
