Bit of a mixed bag. Some excellent points. The location is great for most things that you'd want to do in the Peak District. Spacious and comfortable. The games room is a great plus. But, given that this is advertised as a luxury cottage, with a corresponding price, there were several problems. It was adequately equipped in terms of crockery and Read morecutlery, but not enough cooking utensils. This was made worse because some of the cooking utensils had not been washed up properly and were a bit disgusting. Not enough glasses - really, one glass per person doesnt count as 'luxury'. No scrubbers to wash up. No bin bags. Oven not big enough for the number of people who can stay. And a really rubbish TV - bad sound and no internet connection so no apps. Hide

We had a wonderful stay at Littonfields Barn, we had fish and chips from Tideswell, 2 meals at The Red Lion and breakfasts at the Yondermanns Cafe ( this was the only time we used our cars) Weather was great for March so we walked both days from the barn, on the ridge and the dale. Perfect place to catch up and chat with friends. Couldn't fault it.Read more Highly recommended Hide

We rented this property for a family birthday celebration and it was perfect. The bedding is divine, the kitchen very well equipped and location perfect for where we wanted to visit during our stay. We took our little dog with us and didnt realise theres no garden so had to take her out first and last thing for a walk through the village, which was no major hardship.
