The nearby Ogwen valley is perfect for walking in the mountains, whilst a cycleway runs all the way down to Port Penrhyn near Bangor. Enjoy a stop at the local farm shop and cafe on your way. For a more relaxing visit try the National Trusts Penrhyn Castle, the train up Snowdon or along the shores of Llyn Padarn, a visit to the magnificent Caernarfon castle, or, ideal for the kids, Greenwood adventure park.

Heading back through the lounge you’ll find a compact kitchen with plenty of space for getting prepped. Completing the ground floor offering is a generously appointed double bedroom with a unique addition of a shower cubicle in the room, alongside an adjacent cloakroom with ground floor WC. You can find two further bedrooms just upstairs on the first floor. The master bedroom has been made up as a lovely double with far-reaching views and the added bonus of an en-suite. Perfect for our family of seven on a weekend trip to visit Zip World. Lovely, cosy cottage, stunning views and in a great location for exploring North Wales. Comfiest bed Ive slept in away from home! Could do with a good spruce and a little maintenance but wouldnt stop a return visit or from wishing that wed had a day or two longer there.

The view is stunning! Spent many hours sat in the hot tub taking in the amazing view. A fantastic stay surrounded by the mountains. You can't fault the view and the location is great. Remote enough to feel relaxed but with supermarkets / towns 15/20 minutes away. Ty Gwair is a well appointed rental cottage for our family of four and grandparents. The area has loads of entertainment from castles to lighthouses, Ospreys to steam trains. ( be prepared to pay handsomely for entrance and parking fees ). Whilst the cottage has everything for a base, it is quite run down and needs some TLC to revive it to the 4*Read more it deserves. The cottage is lovely, with fantastic views out the back. Layout us well thought through with the downstairs bedroom, stairs and 1st floor bedrooms separate to the kitchen and living areas. Plenty of space and we'll equipped. Some family games and some dvds for evening entertainment if you wanted it. A welcome back of welsh baked goods, tea coffRead moreee and milk was very much appreciated after our long journey. The cottage was ideally situated for exploring the area around Mount Snowdon. A local Tesco express in the village was handy for essentials, with larger supermarket choices in Bangor. For the nature lovers there was plenty of bird life to watch and we were frequently serenaded by a pair of Tawny Owls in the early evenings. We spent many an hour watching the light change over the mountains, it was very beautiful. Hide
