Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life in this gorgeous retreat for two in the Haldon Valley, just 6 miles from Exeter. The stylish, open-plan barn conversion is perfect for spending quality time with a loved one, sharing romantic dinners together and enjoying cosy movie nights on the sofa. The surrounding Devon countryside is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with endless walks to explore nearby. Head to Haldon Forest Park, 2.5 miles away, to enjoy a woodland ramble or get the heart pumping on one of the many mountain bike trails. Alternatively, spend the day at the coast, pottering around the seaside towns of Exmouth (12 miles) or Sidmouth (19 miles), both of which boast fabulous beaches, quaint cafes, boutiques, and gift shops. You’ll find further shops and eateries in the historic city of Exeter, as well as a magnificent Gothic cathedral, vibrant quayside, and fascinating underground passages. Nearby days out include Powderham Castle, Crealy Theme Park, and Dartmoor National Park (all within 10 miles).

The converted barn is decorated in a contemporary style, with a colour scheme that reflects the surrounding landscape and a beautiful collection of stylish artwork and accessories. Easy to get to by road. Quiet location. Friendly owners. Ideal for us to stay close to relatives when visiting the area. This was our 4th stay and we shall be returning.

Helen is a very welcoming host and has created a lovely place to stay. Although it is a busy working farm and ice cream parlour with lots of visitors the holiday lets offer a place of quietness and privacy. Wagon Linhay was just right for us, offering a very comfortable bed and plenty of hot water for a shower. It allowed us to visit family who livRead moree nearby as the road access was excellent, no dark country lanes or bumpy track! We are looking forward to returning with family in a few months time to enjoy one of the larger properties. Hide
