Battys Hangout was a lovely cottage, inside was very homely and cosy, there was a woodburner which we didnt feel the need to use as there were electric heaters in every room which made it very cosy . The kitchen area was very well equipped, cornish tea and coffee was provided. The bathroom had a whirlpool bath which was on the small size, but stiRead morell very relaxing. A king size bed which was very comfortable. Its a very quiet location , perfect for unwinding. We were close to many local attractions, Tintagel castle, Boscastle. We walked the camel trail from wadebridge to Padstow approx 12 miles , which you could also hire bikes if you preferred. All in all we had a lovely week at Battys Hangout . Hide

We had the most wonderful stay in this charming cottage Battys Hangout a peaceful retreat tucked away in Camelford. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The cottage is beautifully maintained, cosy, full of character and welcoming. The cottage is on a farm with some animals but they were no bother at all, the fresh eggs from thRead moree chickens were superb! Our hosts were friendly, helpful, and responsive, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. We also really appreciated the little welcome touches when we arrived, so thoughtful. The living space was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Cornwalls stunning coast and countryside. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, we slept so well! Its clear the owners take great pride in keeping the place spotless and well-equipped. Camelford itself is a lovely base, quiet yet conveniently located. We enjoyed easy drives to Tintagel, Boscastle, St Michaels Mount and some breathtaking beaches nearby. It was so nice to return to the calm of the cottage after a day out adventuring. We would absolutely recommend Battys Hangout to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in North Cornwall. We will be going back for sure! Hide

Battys Hangout is clearly a fairly new cottage that is quiet, private and well equipped. The bedroom was a very good size, carpetted and with a kingsize or super kingsize, comfortable bed. There are electric radiators, but since the May temperatures were quite good, these did not come on. Water was always hot. Outside on the patio the table and twoRead more chairs always were in the sun - all of the day. A facility for washing and tumble drying were just a few hundred yards away on the same site. A quiet place to relax when not out visiting nearby beauty spots. Places such as Port Isaac, Boscastle and Tintagel were very close, and the town of Wadebridge not far away with it's cycleway to Padstow or the other way to Bodmin and beyond. Plenty of places to visit and we enjoyed the Bodmin Steam Railway and numerous other places. St Ives is about an hour and a quarter away on good roads. This seaside town we had visited several times before but were surprised just how much it has to offer, including numerous beaches and opportunities for boat hire and/or trips. Hide

Lovely cottage, it had everything we needed, its very peaceful place.local walks from the cottage but not too far to travel to visit places. The last part of the road up to the cottage is narrow and its necessary to reverse as no passing places, but it's a very quiet road . If visiting this area we would book again .
