Escape with six friends or your family to this converted barn near the village of Maerdy in the Welsh countryside. From winding walks and challenging climbs, to water sports and mountain biking, there is something for everyone within easy reach. Maerdy (1 mile) has everything you need including a pub, farm shop, cafe and restaurant. Head to Llyn Tegid (8.5 miles) in Bala, the largest natural lake in Wales, where you can participate in kayaking, windsurfing or paddleboarding. Travel 15 miles into the superb Snowdonia National Park for cascading waterfalls, several mountains worth a climb, and incredible scenic views every way you turn. You will also find Zip World Fforest (19.5 miles), which is a wonderful adrenaline-filled day out for all the family.
This spacious and practical home has wonderful views across rolling fields. Spend evenings on the sofas in the lounge warming up in front of the wood burner and watching a movie as a group. The galley-style kitchen has everything you need to prepare and cook tasty meals, and a serving hatch through to the dining area makes hosting easy. The first of the three quaint bedrooms is on the ground floor, a handy room sleeping three people in three single beds. Upstairs are the remaining two bedrooms, both full of charm – one king-size and one small double bedroom. Two pretty bathrooms complete this level, one with a shower over the bath, and one shower room.
To the side of the property is a lean-to housing a freezer and room to store bikes. Although there is no private garden at this property, guests are invited to explore the 150 acres of farmland and the many walks available right from your doorstep.
