A captivating, three-bedroom, semi-detached cottage located on a working farm, this property sits in a picturesque landscape surrounded by mountains, trees and a meandering river. For walkers, there are superb routes to nearby Cadair Idris and the grand, imposing ruins of Castell y Bere, which will have you dreaming of Welsh princes and medieval battles. For a coastal day out, visit the pretty fishing village of Aberdyfi, 12 miles away, for water sports, boat trips and ice cream. The Wales Coast Path follows the vast stretch of beach that runs 5 miles from Aberdyfi to Tywyn – popular with sandcastle builders and surfers alike. It’s a glorious seaside walk and if you’re lucky you might just spot dolphins out in Cardigan Bay.

The ground floor of this charming property offers spacious living areas and handsome period features such as exposed brickwork and ceiling beams. In the lounge, comfortable sofas surround a striking inglenook fireplace with a wood burner, inviting you for cosy nights in. There’s a second sitting room too, with an upright piano and beautiful views over the surrounding landscape. The farmhouse kitchen/diner with its 4-oven AGA, pantry and large dining area is an open and welcoming space for family meals. A handy downstairs cloakroom with a WC completes the accommodation on this floor. Upstairs, you’ll find a king-size bedroom and two double bedrooms, all with country views, a family bathroom with a bath, and a shower room.

Outdoors, the lawned garden has a picnic table and an open outlook – a tranquil spot for morning coffee, whilst planning the day’s itinerary. You could even hire a hot tub during your stay (additional charges apply and would be arranged by yourselves and the supplier).

Beautiful property in amazing surroundings and spectacular views. Large layout and worked well for us when my daughters needed their space. Cosy fire and eventually got used to the AGA. Close to Aberdovey and not far from the Mach Loop. Would definitely stay again.
