Whisk your other half away to this couple's cottage in a charming pastoral setting, yet just 0.5 miles from amenities. The long sands and dunes of Oxwich Bay lie 0.7 miles from the farm — a lovely walk, on which you’ll pass a wooded hill with a Tudor Grade I-listed castle. Sea conditions make the bay a popular spot for surfing in the winter months and there are great cafes and restaurants for meals out together. From the beach, you can join the rugged coast path and hike around the headland taking in the dramatic scenery. To experience more of the Gower Area of Natural Beauty, drive 4.4 miles west, to the village of Port Eynon, and further to the National Trust Rhossili and South Gower Coast, where you’ll find Devil’s Bridge and the Worm’s Head Causeway (8 miles). Or venture 4 miles west of the local beach, to reach the stunning Three Cliffs Bay — a marvellous choice for a picnic.

The property has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room, with two sofas allowing you both to spread out while watching a film on the TV. Enjoy sea views across the fields through the patio doors. Tuck into tasty home-cooked meals at the dining table in the kitchen area. A king-size bedroom has direct access to the shower room and WC.

Patio doors from the living space open out onto an outside area which has rattan furniture on a gravel area, with grass leading down to the field beyond. Sit and sip a glass of wine beneath the stars, or eat alfresco meals as you watch the sunset over the sea.

We had a lovely relaxed break. Coastal View is a fabulous cottage. It was very comfortable, and clean and the bed was so comfortable. The owners Sara and Lincoln are the the perfect hosts. We were met at the cottage by Sara who explained everything that we needed to know about the cottage, and the local area. Sara had also baked some delicious WelsRead moreh cakes and left us some fresh eggs. Thank you for a very relaxed and enjoyable stay we look forward to a second visit. Hide

Absolutely perfect. Great location. Really clean and comfortable. Dog friendly. Being a working farm sheep are right outside but behind a fence, took a couple of days for our dog to get used to them. 20 min walk to Oxwich Bay (not exactly a stroll as it's not flat walk). 15 min walk (not accessible by car) to Slade beach which you get onto via a sRead moreteep roped climb up/down or over rocks but so worth it. Highly recommend Coastal View. The view is wonderful and the owners are lovely. Had everything you need. We enjoyed a fantastic break. I'd say one of the best dog friendly places we've ever stayed at Hide

We arrived at the Coastal View & the first thing you see is the amazing view. The cottage was very clean, there was milk, eggs, flowers & dog treats left for us. Sarah came & greeted us & was very welcoming. There was everything you needed there, kitchen was very well equipped. The WiFi signal was better than ours at home. We had to use the car to Read morego out as there is a very steep hill down to the pub, shop & beach as husbands breathing is not good but didn't bother us. Lovely walks for the fit & healthy. This cottage is gorgeous! Spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable, quiet and very well equipped. The view of the sea is fantastic and the coastal path is a 10 minute walk away. We spent a week here and only used the car once. Would highly recommend.
