The cottage was really warm when we arrived which was very welcoming. However it would really benefit from a revamp, it is quite worn in the kitchen/dining/lounge area, as well as outside. We were disappointed that there were slug trails in the above area as we had our dog with us! Unfortunately there wasn't a welcome pack, or any instructionsRead more for appliances such as the woodburner which meant we didn't use it. Hide

Have stayed at two properties at Milton Mains Farm this year. For a fortnight in fabulous spring weather and a fortnight in dreadful September weather! These properties are great for dog owners are the gardens are properly enclosed by fence panels. However, sadly and reluctantly, I have to say that the properties desperately need thorough housekRead moreeeping work and a lot of maintenance work inside and out. The photos of Swift Cottage on the holidays.co.uk website are really out of date as the furniture in the main living area for example is not what is advertised which is very misleading. I would book through holidays.co.uk again as you speak to a human from the start but I would have make sure that the photos on the website are a true representation of the property I want to book. Waze found the cottage really easily. We received a warm welcome. The cottage was bright and airy, had its own large garden and a patio with garden furniture. The house was well equipped, the beds really comfortable, the lounge large with plenty of seating and a good size dining table. Bathrooms were fine. We really enjoyed our stay, it was perfeRead morect for four of us. The icing on the cake was a hot tub on site, shared between other hirers. It was kept at a lovely 40 degrees which soothed our aching feet and limbs after a long day's walking. Hide

Great cottage in a great location, however, it needs a lot of attention & a lot of TLC. Repairs to garden to make it safe, secure patio stones & step. A welcome pk would have been a nice touch.
