This attractive retreat is ideal for a couple’s escape to the countryside. Situated on a working farm in the village of Milton, it’s close to the Northumberland and Cumbrian border in the foothills of the North Pennines. The larger market town of Brampton is just 2 miles away and has a good range of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. The border town of Carlisle is 10 miles distant offering an even broader range of amenities. The whole area is wonderful for walking with wild fells and stunning views at every turn. Hadrian’s Wall offers some sensational walking trails and is around 8 miles from the holiday home.

Escape to this enchanting cottage which sits within a small terrace of holiday apartments and is laid out all on one level. The open-plan living area is cosy and welcoming with a compact kitchen/dining/sitting area. Here the cushy seating is all gathered around a wood burner and a lovely set of French doors open to the garden. The tranquil bedroom features a plush king-size bed and the sleek bathroom has a shower over the bath.

Outside, guests can enjoy a private garden with a patio and large lawn. The garden is fully fenced in, so it’s ideal for dogs. On the patio, there’s a table and chairs set ideal for enjoying your morning coffee alfresco amidst the calm of the countryside. Guests also have access to an outdoor hot tub that is shared with other guests staying at the neighbouring properties.

A very comfortable cottage for 2 people ( and dog) in a great location. Really good for exploring the border country. Very quiet.
