Look for brilliant night skies free of light pollution in this designated Dark Sky area and climb the highest point in Cornwall, 420m Brown Willy, for spectacular views across the moor. Walk or cycle along the Camel Trail, just half a mile away. It follows the route of a disused railway line that runs 18 miles through unspoiled countryside to Padstow. Butterwell has been recognised by We Are Cycling UK as a Cycle Friendly Place and is even part of a Strava segment! Visit the historic church of St Breward and pretty granite village of Blisland and enjoy a swim at the nearest seaside village of Port Isaac (9 miles).
A bright and airy open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen with beams and lovely views over rolling countryside views is home to a Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker, plus comfortable seating where you can relax in front of the wood burner. A tide clock provides a useful guide for beachgoers. Both of the pretty bedrooms are king-size, one can be made into a twin bedroom on request.
