Enjoy a romantic rural escape at this pretty cottage on a working farm in the heart of the scenic Vyrnwy Valley. Make friends with the charismatic Kunekune pet pigs! With two rivers passing through the farm, it’s the ideal setting for a fishing holiday. There are riverside walks straight from the doorstep to the village of Meifod (2 miles) where you’ll find a welcoming local pub. Explore the attractions of Mid and North Wales, including the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway (4 miles), Powis Castle (9 miles) and the British Ironwork Centre (18 miles).
Bursting with character from its exposed beams, attractive brickwork and charming décor, this homely country cottage feels welcoming as soon as you step through the door. On the ground floor, find the functional kitchen with a breakfast bar and bar stools, and a brick, arched serving hatch through to the living/dining room. Here, a brick fireplace houses an electric fire stove, and comfortable sofas beckon you to spend an evening watching your favourite shows on TV. Upstairs, the light and airy super king bedroom (can also be arranged as two single beds on request). Sloping ceilings create a cosy and restful atmosphere for sleep, but be mindful of reduced head height. A bathroom with a shower completes the accommodation.
Outside, enjoy al fresco dining in the enclosed shared garden, perfect for BBQs while the dogs enjoy some fresh air. Next door, challenge each other to pool tournaments on the full-size table in the shared games room, or perhaps a round of darts. (please request use of this from the owners) A handy utility room with washer and dryer is shared with the cottage next door. E- vehicle charging is available at an additional £20/week.
