With renowned beaches, unforgettable walks and stunning coastal scenery on your doorstep, this cosy holiday cottage is the perfect base for friends, couples or family to discover the wonderful Welsh coastline on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. Llanaber Beach lies at the bottom of the hill, and Barmouth’s sandy beach is just over a mile away, where you will also find a range of shops, restaurants and pubs. Stroll the Mawddach Way from Barmouth, taking in views of the Snowdonia mountains sweeping down to the Mawddach Estuary and enjoy sunset panoramas out to sea. Bring your bikes for great mountain biking nearby, or, for a more relaxing day out, catch a ferry from Barmouth to Fairbourne and take a trip on the delightful Fairbourne Steam Railway. 10 miles north along the coast is the picturesque village of Harlech, famed for its world-renowned golf course in a breathtaking setting, overlooked by the imposing Harlech Castle. Further afield, the Italianate-style village of Portmeirion (18 miles) is a wonderfully surreal day out. After an action-packed schedule, spend the evening watching the sunset from the end of your private garden.

This is an upside-down house with the living area on the top floor to make the most of the sea views. The open-plan kitchen/diner is double height, reaching up to the exposed wooden beams above and comes fully equipped to fulfil all culinary needs. The two bedrooms are also found on the ground floor, one double and one twin, both with windows looking out towards the garden. The family bathroom is located adjacent. Climbing the stairs reveals a beautiful, spacious lounge area with a sloping beamed ceiling, comfortable sofas, a TV and fantastic sea views.

Outside, there is a private lawned garden with a patio BBQ area and a picnic bench from which to enjoy the gorgeous coastal views accompanied by a sun-downer or two.

This was a really lovely cottage and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay near to Barmouth but outside of the main town. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing week away. The owners were really friendly and helpful and came to rescue us when we got a bit lost trying to find the property on arrival!

We had a great week here in October. It was really well equipped, clean and comfortable. It's a lot bigger than it looks on photos. The location is excellent. The double bed could do with a mattress upgrade, I don't normally struggle with beds, but this one I was glad to get out every morning.
