Gather your friends or family in this spacious, detached cottage on the stunning Llyn Peninsula. One of two holiday lets on the owners’ stock farm, this unique retreat allows you to enjoy both the coast and countryside of North Wales. Take a short 400-metre stroll to the National Trust beach at Porthoer, also known as Whistling Sands. As the English version of its name suggests, the sand at this beautiful beach does actually whistle under your feet when the conditions are right. From here, you can join the Wales Coast Path if you fancy a longer jaunt. Just 2 miles away is the idyllic fishing village of Aberdaron where you will find another golden beach and a selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Other local attractions near the cottage include National Trust’s Plas yn Rhiw manor house (6 miles), Felin Uchaf Educational Centre (5 miles), and numerous castles, including Cricieth (26 miles) and Caernarfon (35 miles).

The heart of the single-storey home is the vast open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area which has incredible views over the garden and surrounding countryside. Switch on the TV and make yourselves comfortable on one of the two leather sofas, or lay the dining table with homecooked delights cooked in the well-equipped kitchen. Three bedrooms offer relaxing spaces to unwind after adventurous days along the coast, including a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a double, and a spacious room with a bunk bed and a twin, sleeping four. There is also a family bathroom with a bath, shower and WC.

Outside, a large, enclosed garden offers a great space for little ones to play. On sunny days, light the BBQ and take a seat at the picnic table on the raised patio. And when night falls, nothing beats a night under the stars in the warm bubbles of the private hot tub.

This was the best holiday we've had in a long time. The cottage was perfect huge garden for the kids and dogs and the hot tub might be even more special. The area is phenomenal and the owners are just perfect.

We found the property to be spacious, clean and well located. The views were outstanding. It's not far from Aberdaron for most of your needs and supplies. Whistling Sands/Porthoer is very near but unfortunately dogs were not allowed in July. It's so quiet and peaceful. Easy parking. Large contained garden. We will book to go again! 5* from us.

A lovely house in a great location, it was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub. The welcome Prosecco was a nice touch and the owners were on hand to sort one or two issues quickly and helpfully. Unfortunately the dishwasher wasn't working so we had a lot of washing up to do! One final thought - bring eye masks as if the weather is goodRead more, the bedrooms are very light once the sun is up! Hide

We had a lovely time - 3 adults and two dogs. The enclosed garden was lovely and we didn't have to worry about the dogs at all. The cottage is beautiful and absolutely spotless. We loved Aberdaron beach and spent a lot of time there with our dogs. This was only a 7 minute drive. There is a Spar shop in Aberdaron which has everything you couldRead more think of and the two pubs were lovely - one being right on the beach with a terrace over looking the beach and the sea. The weather was lovely and we had the best time. We will be returning. Thank you for checking we were okay when we were there. Hide
