Gather your friends or family in this spacious, detached cottage on the stunning Llyn Peninsula. One of two holiday lets on the owners’ stock farm, this unique retreat allows you to enjoy both the coast and countryside of North Wales. Take a short 400-metre stroll to the National Trust beach at Porthoer, also known as Whistling Sands. As the English version of its name suggests, the sand at this beautiful beach does actually whistle under your feet when the conditions are right. From here, you can join the Wales Coast Path if you fancy a longer jaunt. Just 2 miles away is the idyllic fishing village of Aberdaron where you will find another golden beach and a selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Other local attractions near the cottage include National Trust’s Plas yn Rhiw manor house (6 miles), Felin Uchaf Educational Centre (5 miles), and numerous castles, including Cricieth (26 miles) and Caernarfon (35 miles).
The heart of the single-storey home is the vast open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area which has incredible views over the garden and surrounding countryside. Switch on the TV and make yourselves comfortable on one of the two leather sofas, or lay the dining table with homecooked delights cooked in the well-equipped kitchen. Three bedrooms offer relaxing spaces to unwind after adventurous days along the coast, including a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a double, and a spacious room with a bunk bed and a twin, sleeping four. There is also a family bathroom with a bath, shower and WC.
Outside, a large, enclosed garden offers a great space for little ones to play. On sunny days, light the BBQ and take a seat at the picnic table on the raised patio. And when night falls, nothing beats a night under the stars in the warm bubbles of the private hot tub.
