We stayed at no1 lodge, the view was amazing. The lodge itself has everything you would need, really well thought out. Everything was spotless and comfortable. Weather was ok but that did not matter, as it was exactly what we wanted, a nice quiet, relaxing holiday.

Our week long stay in the lodge was marked by probably being the wettest and windy week of this year. Despite the weather we had a great time watching the massive sea waves crashing just a few metres away from the lodge, the sea birds struggling to fly into the wind and a red kite circling over the beach area. Castle Douglas also proved to be a greRead moreat location for eating out so I would happily recommend the lodges for a relaxing do not a lot holiday. Hide

The Lodge is immaculate and has everything that you need and more. The Lodge is lovely and comfortable and the location and views are superb with lovely walks. We spent a long weekend here for our 25th wedding anniversary and felt sad leaving on Monday, and will most definitely book again in the future.
