Property code: 95212

Nestled at the foot of Brown Clee Hill, only 10 miles from the vibrant market town of Ludlow, this charming barn conversion offers an authentic, rural retreat in the Shropshire Hills to families and groups of friends with the dogs in tow. Set amongst stunning farmland and next to a working livery yard, it's perfect for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle. Discover the local area on foot by joining the 100-mile Jack Mytton Way which celebrates Shopshire’s delightful countryside and offers scenic routes for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Venturing beyond the farm, there is a lot to explore in the surrounding area; Church Stretton is within 10 miles while Ludlow and Bridgnorth are both within 14 miles, each offering rural charm, local landmarks, and a range of activities for all the family – and the dogs.

Stepping in through the patio doors, you'll enter the warming heart of this traditional home; an open-plan living area filled with farmhouse character. Exposed stone walls and overhead wooden beams combine in this wonderful space which is complemented by a roaring wood burner that invites cosy evenings sat on the comfortable seating in front of the Smart TV. Open the garden doors in this airy space to let the countryside breeze flow in, and when stomachs start to rumble, walk across to the well-appointed kitchen. Find all you need here to cook up holiday feasts for your loved ones, who can gather at the long, farmhouse-style dining table nearby to enjoy the chef’s work, or out in the garden to dine alfresco together. When day turns to night, guests have five sumptuous bedrooms to retreat to. The first is on the ground floor, up a few steps; a welcoming king-size room which has en-suite access to the well-appointed bathroom. Follow the quirky spiral staircase to the first floor where the four remaining bedrooms await. Here, choose from two double rooms and two cosy single bedrooms. Completing the first floor and the property is an en-suite shower room accessed from one of the double bedrooms, and a well-equipped family bathroom.

Outside, swing open the patio doors and step out from the living area into an enclosed patio and garden space which is perfectly safe for children and dogs. A large outside dining table and chairs offer relaxing, al fresco dining, perhaps using the charcoal BBQ that awaits. Elsewhere, immerse yourself in true working farm life and observe goats, chickens, horses, highland cows, and sheep. You’ll also find a shed to securely store your bikes and other outdoor equipment. If you’re bringing horses, then stables and grazing can be arranged with the owners at the time of booking, at an additional cost.
