Set within a rural smallholding, this cosy bolthole is a great base for touring or to simply sit back and relax under dark night skies. The village of Ryme Intrinseca sits on the edge of the Blackmore Vale, within easy reach of Sherborne, 5.5 miles away. The town is home to two historic castles as well as honey-coloured streets lined with independent shops and high-street names. This is the ideal spot to while away an afternoon, with a wide range of eateries on offer too. For local amenities head to Yetminster, less than 1 mile away, or set off in the car and visit the coast, where you’ll find West Bay, Burton Bradstock and Eype all within 15 miles.

This charming cottage for two is attached to the owner’s home, with a private entrance door and privacy assured. Once inside, you’ll be met with an entrance hallway and the shower room on your left. Straight ahead is the country-style kitchen/diner, which has all you need to make your favourite meals. You can dine at the table before retiring to the lounge just next door. This comfortable room has a wood burner and TV, perfect for cosy evenings in. When the day is done, head up to the spacious bedroom, which has a second TV and lovely countryside views. Due to the setting within the eaves, there are some areas of restricted head height in this space, which only adds to its character and charm.

You can enjoy your morning coffee in a dedicated area of garden, which is accessed via the front door and sits to the side of the owner’s property. With furniture and a pretty, unenclosed pond, this is a lovely spot to sit back and relax.
