This tranquil escape is situated on the owners' working farm with their own farm shop situated just a short 0.1-mile walk. This retreat is set on the outskirts of Ottery St Mary, a charming town that boasts an idyllic countryside setting while remaining conveniently close to the bustling city of Exeter, just 13 miles away. Ottery itself offers a variety of bespoke independent shops and a selection of dining choices that take pride in serving locally sourced delicacies. Slightly further afield, explore the world-famous Jurassic Coast and spend the day wandering the stunning scenery via its coastal paths or plan your day to visit beaches nearby. The popular seaside town of Sidmouth is 8 miles away and offers a beautiful beach or visit the picturesque town of Lyme Regis and discover why it’s known as the ‘Fossil Capital of the World’. Your dog will love the 2 miles of sandy Exmouth Beach, only 13 miles away by car, and is dog friendly all year round.

Enter this bespoke handcrafted hut, up a couple of steps and unlock the dual patio doors into this lovingly designed dining and sleeping area. The kitchen area is packed with plenty of equipment to ensure meal times are easy. Unfold the clever table design to enjoy meals inside if the weather falls short. To your right is a built-in double bed where you can enjoy undisturbed country views with handy lighting above and a TV opposite to enjoy. An en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower, sink and WC completes the cosy hut.

Outside, there is an enclosed private grassed area to enjoy, where you’ll find a charcoal BBQ and fire pit to spend the evenings cooking or toasting marshmallows. There is also a separate benched seating area to enjoy al fresco dining with the beautiful views and plenty of wildlife to watch too.

Very pleasant owners and a lovely location. The Lambing hut is small but ideal for one or two persons and a dog! Unfortunately due to the very high temperatures I had to leave early due to it being too hot for the dog. The hut is South facing so was in the sun all day and being dark in colour it retained the heat until late evening. Not the owners Read morefault and normally a spell of hot weather would have been very welcome. Good location for visiting beaches and other locations. Hide
