This stylish lodge has been thoughtfully developed by the owners to offer a truly unique experience within the Cotswolds AONB. The farm has been developed around caring for a herd of 21 reindeer and you are able to experience some lovely walks round the grounds whilst observing the beautiful animals. Teaming with wild life, the location is a fantastic choice for guests looking to explore the area and there are some stunning opportunities for hiking and cycling from the village, including the popular Cotswold Way trail. Visit some of the regions most popular destinations with Cirencester (3.2 miles) and Cotswold Water Park (5 miles) within easy reach. The area is a haven for guests looking to visit idyllic towns and villages with the stunning backdrop of rolling hills. A fine example is the picturesque village of Bibury (6.2 miles) which is set along the River Coln and is fine example of quintessential Cotswolds living.
After a full day exploring the beautiful local area, head back to the farm and up to your lodge, which is one of two that the owner uses for holiday lets. Enter into the open-plan living area which has been designed to offer total comfort and relaxation in this unique and tranquil setting. The kitchen is fully equipped so you have everything you need for a self-catered breakaway with family or friends, and there is a dining table that will sit 6 people. For those who don’t plan on doing much in the kitchen, the local pub is just over the road and serves fantastic food. The lounge has comfortable seating and a log-burning stove, ideal to cosy up in front of during the cooler nights. Enjoy a quiet evening with a movie in front of the Smart TV. Head through the lodge and you will find the two spacious bedrooms, one four poster super-king-size and one double. There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge if you have additional adults or children. The lodge has a large bathroom with a wonderful walk-in double shower and separate bath, perfect to relax in after a long walk.
Outside the lodge, there is a grassed area with a picnic bench overlooking the pond, perfect for dining alfresco. The real highlight of this property is the reindeer herd, all 21 of them!, and Santa’s Forest, which is a walking trail shared with the public, to view an abundance of wildlife alongside the beautiful herd when they are out grazing. There are two ponds on the grounds which are home to numerous goldfish. There are several seating areas around the farm that guests are free to use, and any areas which are not accessible will be clearly signposted.
