The traditional village of Madley is within a 1-mile walk and offers a well-stocked village store and traditional inn, plus a 9-hole golf course and tennis courts. The picturesque surroundings are perfect for walkers, with acres of farmland, lakes and woodlands to explore. The Hay Bluff is within easy reach, where you can join the Offa’s Dyke footpath along Hatterrall Ridge or take on Twmpa within the Black Mountains. A trip to the Welsh Border market town of Hay-on-Wye (15 miles), famous for its many book shops, is highly recommended. The cathedral city of Hereford, the food hub of Ludlow, and Brecon Beacons National Park gateway, Abergavenny, are all within 30 miles.

A spacious hallway with oak floors offers a desk area along with access to a king-size bedroom, beautifully furnished and finished with soft linens. A spacious wet room with a rainwater shower and WC is also available from the hallway. Ascending to the first floor, guests can relax within the expansive lounge with original half-cruck beams. The room offers triple-aspect views that showcase the beauty of the surrounding landscape, and is furnished to a high standard with a wood burner, comfy sofas and a Smart TV. The first floor also offers a super-king-size main bedroom with exposed beams and an en-suite shower room with WC.
Outside, guests are free to enjoy the grounds, stroll down to the established boating lake, or simply enjoy a glass of wine whilst enjoying the views. A sunken hot tub awaits, promising blissful soaks under the open sky.

Perfect property, elegant and well styled, definitely had the wow factor when we walked in. The bottle of champagne waiting on the drinks trolley made our stay extra special. Beautiful setting, stylish and very well equipped. This is quality accommodation in a lovely area. Owners very approachable, sensitive but aware of guests need for privacy. We personally found the hot tub not to be as near as we expected and not to be as private as we would have liked. The pictures of the lake tend to imply that there is fishing onRead more site but this is not the case although fishing is available at a cost nearby. However, the views are stunning and we enjoyed watching the heron fish. Hide

We had a lovely short break in The Granary, very comfortable and quiet. The views of the gardens and mountains in the distance was breathtaking and looked especially good from the hot tub! Everything was provided - towels, bathrobes, hand soap, washing up liquid, so you just need to arrive with some food and a glass of your favourite tipple to relaRead morex. We would love to go back, maybe with friends or family to stay in one of the other properties. Hide
