Enjoy lunch at the beautiful cafe, situated in the old chapel in Castleton, or cosy evenings at the famous Inn on the Moor, at Blakey ridge just a mile away. There are plenty of activities to choose from, such as hiking, cycling, fishing, and bird watching. The famous Coast-to-Coast trail passes through the area, and two public foot paths run through the farmland at Broadgate. Wildlife watchers will be delighted with the abundance of species, including sparrow hawks, falcon, buzzards, deer, owls, heron and red grouse. Jump on the train at Castleton or Danby and head towards Whitby in just 40 minutes, be immersed in the wonderful coastal town with the 199 steps to the Abbey and St Marys Church, boat trips, quirky shops, tea rooms and fish and chip shops.

You will also find a hidden play area to one side of the lounge where there are toys and games, great to keep children busy while you finish the day with a warming drink curled up in ultimate comfort after exploring the beautiful countryside. When your eyes get heavy, climb the stairs to discover three lovely bedrooms, all with space for sleep and storage, each room is styled differently and offers a good quality mattress for a good night's rest, there are two super-king-sized rooms (can be made into a twin on request). One of the rooms provides an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and a well-placed free-standing bathtub set in front of the window gifting far reaching views of the moors - the perfect way to end the day! This room can also accommodate a further single bed or travel cot with full-depth mattress which are available on request. The third bedroom boasts a king-sized bed looking out over the garden and moors beyond. Finally, there is a family bathroom with a corner bath, separate large shower and WC. Draw the curtains in the morning and admire the glorious views.
