Situated as a stand alone lodge on 14 acres of private farmland within the quaint North Devon countryside, this idyllic getaway provides guests with a fabulous blend of both countryside and coast. The pod sits at the gateway to Exmoor National Park, allowing guests to enjoy an array of picturesque walking routes. You can also explore some beautiful sandy beaches at Saunton Sands and Woolacombe, both under 19 miles away. The nearby ancient town of Barnstaple boasts a traditional pannier market as well as a fine range of shops, restaurants and cafes, and if you’re looking for a slice of culture, the National Trust’s Arlington Court is just 8.5 miles away.
Step inside this beautiful lodge into the perfectly designed and comfortable studio-style lounge/kitchen/dining/sleeping area. The lounge area has a Smart TV and lovely views across the valley. This brilliantly flexible and sociable space includes ample room to lounge and dine, and here you can relax in style after a day of exploring. Also included is the compact, yet perfectly appointed, kitchen which boasts all the essentials and you can prepare fresh ingredients sourced from one of the many local farmers’ markets. The space features a relaxing sofa, which can also pull out as a king-size sofa bed upon request. In the sleeping area, you will find a comfortable king-size bed, and completing the property is a shower room.
Making your way onto the outdoor decking, you’ll find the private Lazy Spa Hot tub which is the perfect place to relax and take in those glorious views whilst sharing memories of your day. Surrounding the lodge is a fully enclosed garden with large lawn area, a gas BBQ, fire pit (logs supplied) and storage shed with an additional fridge/freezer if required.
Last but certainly not least, guests are invited to tour the owners' farm down through the field path, which has a friendly array of livestock to meet including miniature horses, chickens, goats and pigs.
