This property was highly recommended by friends and we were not disappointed. It was an excellent spot from which to visit the northern Lakes and the Solway coast. The owner could not have been more helpful. She also placed some home baking and other goodies in the kitchen to brighten our arrival. We would be happy to return.

This working farm is a delightful place to stay. It was beautifully clean and very relaxing. We had lovely weather, which is always a plus in the beauty of Cumbria. We also popped into Scotland for a day too. A super holiday home with lovely owners. One of our best holidays.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and recently renovated. Gwen and her family were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed meeting the various animals on their farm and the courtyard outside the house was lovely. It's a great base for Carlisle, the coast at Allonby/Maryport and the Northern parts of the Lake District but there isn't much in the immediatRead moree area and we used the car for everything. This did mean it was very peaceful though and well away from other tourists and traffic. Hide
