Warm welcome from the owners. Beautiful property, but a little tricky to find in the dark. Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds. High quality towels and linen. Kitchen has everything you could want during your stay. Only suggestion would be a slightly bigger fridge, but you do have the benefit of a wine/ beer fridge. The pub will probably be a nice walk awRead moreay in summer, but dark and a little treacherous in dark winter nights. Not much to do nearby. Hide

Booked this getaway last minute for a family gathering and birthday. The property really suited us as we took along elderly parents, one who isn't very mobile. The downstairs bedroom and wet room was ideal for them as well as the toilet being raised so we didn't need to add extra equipment which we usually do. We had the best holiday. The view over the garden and lake is superb; have so many photos of it all different dependent upon the light. A real home from home; our hosts were on hand if needed and the gift of freshly squeezed apple juice was thoroughly enjoyed by us all. We had lovely days out in Montgomery, Newtown and Welshpool, had a relaxing walRead morek along the canal and the gardens and tearooms at Gregynog Hall are a must. Everything you need for a short break or longer is there. Extremely comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, rooms bright and airy. A field for the dogs to have a run in. Pleasent grounds to wander and enjoy. Excellent take aways from Newtown that deliver. All in all, we had a fantastic family holiday and a relaxing week. Thank you.

Fantastic stay at the quarry! Beautiful grounds and home. Host was great and truly dog friendly, making sure there was an empty field free for the dogs to stretch their legs! Perfect location for exploring Wales with 4 legged friends. Cant wait to come back! Thanks for a great stay!

This very comfortable and cosy accommodation is set in beautiful grounds in a magnificent part of the country. The resident animals are interesting to watch (and also interested in visitors). The Bull and Heifer nearby is a welcoming pub with excellent beer and food.
