A charming, detached cottage located in a splendid private position of a wonderful country estate, close to the historic town of Kirriemuir and the bonnie Angus Glens.

Nestled in an idyllic private position, this historic home is surrounded by 335 acres of a beautiful working organic farm and country estate. It’s located within 1 mile of the historic town of Kirriemuir, the birthplace of J M Barrie, author of Peter Pan, and Bon Scott of the rock group ACDC. It’s also perfectly positioned close to the southern fringes of the Cairngorms National Park with the stunning Angus Glens of Isla, Clova and Prosen to explore, perfect for all outdoor pursuits. Visit Loch Kinnordy, a wonderful RSPB reserve, the spectacular waterfall at Reekie Linn and Glamis Castle, the ancestral home of the Queen Mother. Golfers can enjoy several fantastic local and links courses including Kirriemuir, Forfar, Rosemount, Alyth, Blairgowrie and the championship course at Carnoustie.

Step inside this detached single-storey period cottage from the beautiful mature gardens into the vestibule, and head through to the light and bright lounge. Relax on the comfortable sofa and the retro stylish chairs after a day out exploring the splendid local area. Watch a great movie on the Smart TV with an active Netflix account or just sit back and admire the views with an abundance of wildlife that regularly visits the garden. On those cooler evenings, light up the lovely roaring wood burner. There is also a dining area in the lounge for romantic or family gatherings. Next is the master king-size bedroom with dual-aspect windows with beautiful views to enjoy, as well as a handy sink and ample storage space. Continuing through to the rear hall, there is direct access outside to the gardens and parking area. You are first met with a wonderfully presented twin bedroom with lovely views over the country estate’s gardens. Next is the well-equipped kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and a handy dishwasher. Finally, completing the delightful accommodation is the bathroom with a handheld shower over the bath, a separate shower cubicle and a WC.

Venturing outside, there is a covered seating area directly in front of the house for al fresco dining or lazy evening stargazing in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Off-road private ample parking is available and there is a garage to house one car with secure storage for outdoor gear and bikes. The property is located amid 335 acres of woodland and a walled garden with kitchen and medicinal herb gardens. There is also an orchard with an array of seasonal fruit trees, a wildflower meadow, a wildlife pond and a small loch with a waterfall. Guests are welcome to explore the established countryside tracks and forest trails. There is also abundant wildlife to spot including red kites, ospreys, red squirrels, beavers, badgers, otters, roe deer and garden birds. This property has a private water supply.

Beautiful cottage in gorgeous surroundings. The peace of the countryside with the convenience of the town within ten minutes. We had a great time and the dogs loved it.

A bolt hole for the tired and weary who may have some energy left to explore! The perfect place to unwind and then begin your exploration of the glens and beyond! A lovely, comfortable lodge. All needs catered for and a beautiful estate to take slow walks and reconnect with nature.

Lovely cottage quiet well equipped. Our 2nd visit and booked again for October. Comfortable beds well equipped kitchen and utensils. Set in grounds of owners home the lodge has excellent walks for dogs from the door is very safe for children and with a beautiful walled garden you can walk around. We love it.

The lodge is beautiful and the surrounding estate was wonderful for walks. Its a really quiet spot and great for spotting birds and other wildlife. Logie Lodge was the best place we have stayed..it was a beautiful cottage.we were allowed to walk all round the Estate as we had a dog it was perfect.The surrounding towns are lovely.we were there when storm angus hit which was no problem for us as we stayed in with the log fire.

The Logie was a beautiful tranquil cottage located just outside Kirriemuir. It was a great base to tour round the Cairngorms, Perth, Dundee, Montrose. It was very well equipped, home from home. Ideal in every way. Our dog Kit was very happy with the short walks on the estate, and the longer rambles in the Glens. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. Terrell, the owner was very welcoming.

Very clean, well equipped and comfortable Lodge. It was a real home from home and a disappointment to leave. The location is very peaceful and there is good access to the Estate for short walks. Kirriemuir is five minutes drive away or a decent walk. The location is also good for accessing the glens of the southern Cairngorm range, Pitlochry and thRead moree towns of Perth, Montrose etc. The Lodge is a great place to unwind and relax, whilst being in easy reach of some stunning landscapes. Lovely spacious yet cosy cottage in convenient but secluded location. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, very comfortable beds and nicely appointed. The cottage is in its own grounds and we were kindly allowed to use the tennis courts. We enjoyed the walks in the grounds as well as further afield in Glen Clova and skiing at Glenshee. We had just a short stay at The Lodge at Logie House and we were so sad to leave! The cottage is wonderful, so homely and well appointed. The ground are incredible and we loved exploring with our German Shepherd, Otis. Thank you for making us all feel at home, we will definitely be back.
