If you do decide to head out for the day then you also have plenty of places within easy reach including the beautiful medieval market town of Saffron Walden just 13 miles away, or the market town of Clare only 9 miles away with a host of independent shops, antique shops and a further choice of culinary delights. 20 miles away is the widely recognised birthplace of thoroughbred horse racing, Newmarket.
After parking at the back of the property, enter through the rear lobby, the perfect place to kick off those walking boots and hang up your coats. This is also the utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Walk through to the rest of this wonderful property, which boasts many original features with exposed beams and tasteful artwork throughout. As you continue through into the hallway, to your right is the first lounge known as the Gold Room which provides a perfect place to relax, perhaps with a book or gather around the Smart TV as you fire up the wood burner and cosy up on the sofa or either one of two armchairs. Further along the hallway a cloakroom and the second lounge area which boasts glorious garden views and features another wood burner, two large sofas and two armchairs which surround a Smart TV. Back out into the hallway and to the right is the spacious open-plan kitchen/diner, which has another wood burner, and has been carefully designed with socialising in mind.
