This spacious former cow shed situated on the owner's working farm in rural Yorkshire has been wonderfully converted to provide the ideal escape for a couple to explore this stunning part of Yorkshire.

Nestled on the edge of Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this rural barn conversion is ideally situated for walkers of all abilities. With so many tracks and trails nearby, you will be spoilt for choice. The stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park is close by, as are the magnificent formations at Brimham Rocks, only 1.5 miles from this cottage. The vibrant spa town of Harrogate is only an 8-mile drive away where you can browse the shops and cafes or grab a bite to eat at one of the many pubs and restaurants. Other great days out nearby include Fountains Abbey and Ripley Castle, both within 10 miles, and slightly further afield at 25 miles away, the ancient city of York.

Stepping into this spacious barn conversion, you are greeted by an entrance hall, the perfect place to leave coats and muddy boots after a winter’s walk. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has French patio doors where, on a nice day, you can open the doors and admire the lovely views. Sit on the comfortable sofas or at the dining table and unwind after a long day exploring. The kitchen area is equipped with everything you need, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The bedroom is large and boasts a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (can be made up as twins on request). To complete the property is a bathroom with shower over the bath and WC.

Externally, there is a private patio area with furniture, a charcoal BBQ and a large, shared, lawned garden with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. Guests have access to a shared utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is off-road parking for one car and secure cycle storage available.

the cottage is comfy and much bigger than it appears in the pics. the bed is huge and very comfortable. Stunning views from the patio and very peaceful. just secluded enough but still only a few minutes drive from a shop or a town. Absolutely wonderful stay in this warm and cosy cottage. The place was spotlessly clean and we were met with a lovely welcome pack which we enjoyed during our stay. The cottage comes with plenty of books and guides for the area and the Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. A beautiful cottage made from a converted cow shed. Conversion was to a very high standard. The bed was super comfy and the hosts had thought of absolutely everything you would need. Yes, it was an ideal relaxing place to stay, in a picturesque setting in a friendly environment and owners who excel to make your holiday enjoyable. We could not fault it in anyway. This is lovely accommodation at the heart of a well-kept and living farm. A haven of peace in gently rolling countryside. Couldnt have been better.

Lovely, well-kept cottage in a perfect location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. The hosts are super friendly and made us and our dog feel very welcome. This is a working farm and it was lovely learning about the livestock, etc. Would highly recommend it.

A really lovely cottage in an ideal setting. So handy for the beautiful dales and a short drive to Harrogate. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bed was very comfy. I would highly recommend this cottage.

A really lovely cottage with a very big comfortable bed, beautifully appointed and a fantastic vista. Plenty of attractions close by with several welcoming pubs a short drive away, but be aware some are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Lovely spacious clean and very well equipped cottage set in beautiful surroundings in the always lovely Yorkshire. Quiet and relaxing but not far from walks or towns. Didnt want to leave!
