A real escape to the country, this charming property is set within a working farm in verdant North Dorset. Ideally placed for walking, touring or simply settling down beside the wood burner.

Located on a working farm close to Bulbarrow Hill, the property is within the picturesque Blackmore Vale, an ideal base for those wishing to walk or cycle. Essential supplies can be found in the nearby village of Hazelbury Bryan where there is a shop and pub, or head to the riverside towns of Blandford and Sturminster Newton for a wider selection of amenities. Lovers of history will enjoy a visit to the village of Milton Abbas, or Cerne Abbas, where you can see the famous chalk giant carved into the hillside. Further south is the stunning Jurassic Coast, with many popular sites including Lulworth Cove, Abbotsbury and Ringstead Bay being accessible by car.

A long, shared drive and yard gives access to this single-storey property. Once inside, you are met with a spacious entrance hall with the lounge/kitchen/diner leading off it to the right. The kitchen area is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, while the lounge area is furnished with a wood burner and Smart TV. Also leading off of the hallway are two bedrooms - a super-king-size and a twin - both of which share the shower room with WC. Completing the accommodation is a useful utility room with a washing machine, Belfast sink, and an outdoor storage area with a freezer.

To the rear of the property is a fully enclosed courtyard garden with furniture, perfect for outdoor dining. There is ample off-road parking to the side of the building. A shared tumble dryer is available within an adjacent building. This property has a private water supply.

Great cottage on a working farm, quite remote but not inaccessible, around 45 mins from most costal destinations. The enclosed courtyard garden and open grass beyond were great for our dog Bonnie. The host Lydia was great and so was the cake, wine and other goodies supplied. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful holiday.

Wonderful little holiday place in the depths of Dorset, away from any busy place and tucked nicely in a quiet farm yard. The place looked cared for and looked after. You can do a few walks from the house or about drive 20 minutes to a local town for bits. Owners were welcoming during our stay. Couldnt fault anything

Lovely stay, the cottage was perfect for us with a toddling one year old, all on one level and all the equipment we needed. Lots of great attractions all within 45 mins and some great wildlife spots around the farm.
