Located close to the burgh of Tain with a golf course, as well as the pretty town of Dornoch with cafes, gift shops and sandy beaches. Children will love the numerous woodland trails in the area (including Skelbo Forest and Aldie Burn), and ensure you take a stroll down to the Sutors of Cromarty, which is close to the Lodge itself. Guests are encouraged to hop aboard the seasonal ferry that runs from Nigg to Cromarty, where you may be lucky enough to spot some dolphins on your travels.

The lodge is accessed via the glass doors to the front of the property, which leads you into an open-plan kitchen/lounge/dining area. The lounge area contains a comfortable sofa that has been placed to take advantage of the stunning views outside (binoculars are provided too), as well as a Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker for cosy evenings in. The dining area seats four people around the table, with an additional seating space at the breakfast bar in the kitchen. The kitchen is neat in size yet very well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, combi microwave oven, fridge/freezer, coffee machine and dishwasher. A welcome pack is provided for guests, which contains some essentials for your stay as well as some home baking. The master king-size bedroom is of a good size and has been tastefully furnished. The twin bedroom has also been decorated to a high standard, with the addition of robes and toiletries provided for all guests. The shower room with WC serves both bedrooms and contains features such as an anti-mist mirror and automatic lights.

Outside, you can unwind in the hot tub with some prosecco in hand whilst you admire the spectacular views. The decking area contains garden furniture as well as a fire pit, which is great for both sunny days and evenings watching the sunset. Parking for two cars only can be found at the rear of the lodge. Our stay at Castlecraig Clifftops was delightful. The cabin was cosy and well-equipped. It was wonderful to have the hot tub and we watched many beautiful sunrises over the water. Cottage was excellent. Met our expectations and more, the view from the cottage is absolutely stunning. Ideal for a family with two children up to early teenage years. Would say a little small in the twin room for older children but still fabulous. Overall, very clean, very restful/relaxing everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The cabin was lovely and had everything we needed and more. The welcome pack was lovely and unexpected as we were booked in at very short notice. The view was fantastic, watching assorted boats, ships and dolphins go by. Great beaches nearby and owner very friendly. Would highly recommend.

This was the best uk destination we have done. The open cliff was great for the children to explore in, the jacuzzi also kept them entertained. The views are breathtaking the small touches in our welcome kit were so thoughtful. The owners borrowed us books and were extremely welcoming. We certainly will be coming back. Thank you so much
