Situated on a 220-acre farm in a remote and untamed area of the Brecon Beacons National Park, you will find plenty of walking routes directly onto the Black Mountains and Fforest Fawr Geopark from your doorstep. There is great attention to detail here for the most comfortable stay in spectacular surroundings. Learn about farm life and eco-living, see sheep, pigs, cattle, hens, Welsh mountain ponies, and wildlife on the farm. Fresh eggs, organic pork, beef, lamb are available during your stay, while shops and pubs are a short drive away (5.5 miles). Guests can source delicious food and artisan goods or enjoy leisure amenities and culture in the vibrant market towns of Brecon and Llandovery (15 miles). or head further afield to Swansea in 27 miles.
This remarkable and spacious cottage has a wide hallway with slate-tiled floor through to a spacious downstairs wet room with a disabled WC. The gorgeous country-style kitchen is well equipped with a large dining area and a solid oak dining table. To the end of the kitchen is a cosy area with comfortable sofas facing the window with views across the surrounding farmland. A living area has a large inglenook fireplace with wood burner and plenty of room for all the family to sit and relax after a long day exploring. Downstairs, there is also a garden room with large French doors that let in the sunshine. Upstairs are three bedrooms: one double, one twin and one single, (one extra pull out bed available if required), as well as a family bathroom.
Head through the French doors into a sheltered and enclosed garden where there is garden furniture and a BBQ. A pool table is available in the adjoining barn off the kitchen. Organic farmland surrounds the property with streams, wildlife pools and woodland nearby, and plenty of opportunity to spot red kits, buzzards, deer and the neighbouring Welsh ponies. Jacob Sheep Trekking and other ‘hands-on’ farm experience days are also available on the farm.
