Surrounded by pastureland some 2 miles south of the vibrant town of Glastonbury, this tranquil location is the ideal base for those wishing to get away from it all, while still being connected to a great selection of local amenities. Take a walk through verdant countryside or visit Glastonbury Tor, which sits high upon the hillside and attracts many visitors. The cathedral city of Wells is certainly worth a visit and is home to picture postcard streets and a wealth of history. The nearby town of Street has a popular outlet shopping centre, or head 13 miles north-west and enjoy a traditional day out at the seaside in Burnham-on-Sea.

The barn is accessed via a long, shared drive. An external staircase rises to the main entrance into this detached first floor barn conversion. Once inside you are met with a striking lounge with wood burner, TV and DVD. This well-equipped space has a gas hob and electric oven, fridge with ice compartment and a dishwasher. You can take in the fabulous views of Glastonbury Tor whilst enjoying a leisurely meal in here. Heading back into the lounge you can find the two bedrooms, the first is a cosy double and the second a further double with a quirky twist! This dual aspect room has countryside views to one side and views directly into the lambing barn on the other. The bedrooms share a central bathroom, which has a bath, separate shower and WC and, a further chance to watch the workings of the farm up close, as it also has views into the barn.

Beneath the property is a covered seating area with benches. A generous area of lawn wraps around the side and rear of the property with garden furniture and a BBQ, and there is off-road parking space suitable for two cars to the front.

The bedding and towels were luxurious and there was plenty of hot water. The second bedroom is now a twin not a double as shown on the property details. Fantastic quirky and roomy barn conversion in a secluded location. Lovely boho decor and history. Watching the hay making from the balcony was fascinating. Great views of the Tor (assuming the trees get cut soon). Beware though, currently the internet is slow and cuts out frequently.. Make sure you have mobile data plans...!!
