This comfortable farmhouse is ideal for families, being perfectly located for exploring the wild and beautiful Caithness coast, with walking, cycling, golf and more on your doorstep. The fabulous expanse of sand at nearby Dunnet Bay offers opportunities for sandcastles and paddling as well as birdwatching and surfing. Enter the farmhouse and you will immediately feel welcomed by this home from home. The comfortable lounge with its open fire is a lovely room in which to relax and spend some family time together after a day out in the fresh air, and those of a musical inclination may enjoy a tinkle on the piano. The spacious and well-equipped kitchen with its warming Rayburn and central dining table conveniently leads directly from the lounge. The dual aspect windows provide plenty of natural light and offer lovely views of the fields and sea beyond, making it a delightful spot for a family meal. Also downstairs is a handy utility room, ideal for muddy or sandy footwear, and a simple twin bedroom. Heading upstairs you will find two bright and comfortable double bedrooms both with glorious views, and a bathroom with a shower over bath, hand basin and WC.

Outside at the rear of the property there is a lovely lawn that sweeps down towards fields of grazing cows. Wander outside with a drink and take in the beautiful views across farmland to the coast. At the front of the house is a large gravelled driveway with parking for two cars and a small area of lawn edged with mature borders.

Comfortable and clean. Lovely quiet location. Owner was very friendly and helpful when we had a small query regarding the heating. The village is just about a mile away, so is walkable. However it's via roads with no pavement or lighting so worth taking a torch if expecting to be out in the dark.

My go to accommodation for my twice yearly holidays to Caithness. I am so glad I found this accommodation a few years ago. It is idyllic and far better than any hotel Ive stayed in in the area. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity you could find nowhere better. Andrew is lovely and always at hand should you have any questions.

Beautiful location and charming old farmhouse. Spacious garden and very friendly and helpful owner. We were blessed with good weather which made it even more enjoyable. The house could do with some refurbishment, especially the kitchen. Otherwise lovely.

If you want peace and quiet then Quarryside Farmhouse should be on your list. There are many lovely beaches and cliff top walks within easy driving distance, the views are spectacular. Our favourites were Dunnet Head & beach, Duncansby Head & Strathy beach. A drive along the north coast and a walk on Faraid Head & Balnakeil beach made for a lovely Read moreday trip. The secure front garden allowed us to relax with our dog off the lead. We would love to stay again in the future. Hide
