Privacy is assured with a stay in this charming cottage. Whilst set on a working farm, it boasts its own entrance and a pretty enclosed garden and the faraway sounds of farm animals will help create a wonderful countryside atmosphere. Adjacent to the property is the 9-acre Anguss Garden, a beautifully wild spot to while away a sunny day. You might want to go fishing for brown trout on Loch Nant (3 miles) or head to the golf course in Taynuilt (3 miles). This village also boasts a hotel with a local pub and plenty of small shops. Keen mountaineers will enjoy the hike up Ben Cruachan, accessible 15 miles away, whilst those looking for a livelier day out can head to Oban (14 miles) for restaurants and bars. Here you'll also find a historic whisky distillery for tours and samples.

Head inside and find an entrance with plenty of space to hang coats and leave muddy boots. On cooler evenings, flock to the sitting room where you'll find a warming wood burner and TV with DVD player to enjoy, as well as an antique grandfather clock that adds to the home's charm. A connecting door will lead you on through into the open-plan kitchen and dining room. The spacious farmhouse kitchen boasts an electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Relax as a family and dine right here in the kitchen, enjoying wonderful views of the surrounding landscape. A utility room on this floor has a washing machine and tumble dryer for mid-holiday laundry. Head upstairs to bed and find four bedrooms. Two of these are spacious doubles and two are cosy singles, all of which boast pretty feature fireplaces. On this floor, you'll find a small library with an abundance of books to devour, and both a shower room with WC and bathroom with bath and WC.

The cottage has its own pretty garden area that can be accessed via French doors in the lounge. This area forms part of the larger farmhouse gardens which are well cared for to create an outdoor haven and boasts garden furniture for your private use, perfect for dining alfresco and a play area for children. Fabulous, spacious cottage in a great location. Nice and remote with stunning views of the surrounding hills, yet not too far down to the local village store and Oban barely a 30minute drive away. Extremely well equipped kitchen and we really felt at home.

Traditional old farmhouse with locked interconnecting doors to properties either side. Beautiful location, ideal for walks from the door and an abundance of wildlife.

I visited for a week with my sons and found a warm and welcoming cottage with a priority on comfort and old fashioned hospitality rather than modern luxury. Its location is extraordinary with a magical garden if you're lucky enough to get a good sunset G&T there - the birds are clearly very happy with it! We had a great time getting out on the wateRead morer and up on the munros - very highly recommend this house for an 'outdoorsy' holiday. All practical necessities easy to take care of for wet gear etc. Hide

Fabulous setting, spacious and well equipped cottage, plus welcoming and helpful hosts. A little bit out of the way but for us that was a plus. Thoroughly recommended!
