The popular seaside town of Ilfracombe is only five miles away from the cottage and has many shops, pubs and restaurants for visitors to discover. Surfers will love the golden sandy beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton, whilst the rugged beauty of Exmoor is a must for hikers. This perfect family cottage is situated on a 20 acre farm and is 1 of 5 holiday properties on the complex and offers a unique holiday experience with so much to see and do off and on site!

The property is conveniently laid out all on one floor and has a spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with dining area seating for four people. The kitchen is fitted out with an electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and handy washing machine. On cooler evenings, why not snuggle up in the lounge and make use of the  TV, DVD player, Freeview, video player and Hi-Fi. The cottage also has a large double bedroom and one bedroom with three single beds. The bathroom has a shower over bath and WC.

Outside to the front of the cottage there is a fully enclosed garden with patio area and garden furniture. Why not relax and purchase a disposable BBQ on site and dine alfresco?

Onsite activities

-Meet the farm animals, (many of which are rescue animals), such as horses, alpacas, pigs, donkeys, rabbits, chickens, guinea pigs and ducks. This holiday offers a unique chance to let children enjoy nature in a farm setting, thanks to the toddler friendly pets corner with pond dipping and animal handling

- Indoor play barn (shared) with pool table, table tennis and other games, perfect for those with a competitive streak.

-Library that is well stocked with books, children's toys and videos for everyone to enjoy.

-Outside play area with swings and slide.

Cosy yet spacious, comfortable beds, lovely secluded location - what more could you want from a holiday home. We have just got home from a week at Cart Linhay cottage and we cant wait to book again! My parents and brother shared the triple room and my partner and I were in the double room with our toddler. The cottage felt incredibly spacious and hRead moread all cleaning/kitchen equipment you would need. Owners lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend to stay here! Hide

Absolutely lovely place to stay. This is our third visit and we love it every time. It is in the perfect position to explore all of North Devon, Somerset. Very dog friendly and it is lovely to be able to visit all the animals. The cottages are very well appointed and everyone is very friendly. Would really recommend.

A spotlessly clean cottage upon arrival. Absolutely lovely hosts who are very knowledgeable and care a lot about their animals. Something for all ages to enjoy and a peaceful place to sleep. Its only a few minutes to great local beaches and loads of local attractions. A great place to unwind on holiday, we will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely time at Cart Linhay Cottage. It was in a really good location for Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. The cottage had everything we needed and the kids had a great time visiting the animals and playing in the barn and play area.

A great location for exploring the area with lots of places to visit. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The dog exercise area in the field behind was fabulous and allowed the dogs to run and play. There was a footpath off the field at the back which was handy for those wishing to explore on foot from the property.

We went as a family of four, (adult children) and we loved it. Feeding the donkeys and pigs was great fun. Definitely need a car, but lovely quiet setting, it was the first time we had stayed at a dog friendly place and weren't quite sure what expect, but was absolutely spotless. Dogs loved it to. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage is lovely! Clean & cozy. Central to so many places. Beaches, castles, zoos & The Old Station Inn pub is excellent for younger children. We had a lovely week.

Great cottage with plenty of room for our family of 5. Kids loved all of the animals on site, especially at feeding time. Hosts were brilliant & went above & beyond during our stay, even took my boys fishing! Would happily return for another stay in the future.

This is an amazing place. 2nd time we have stayed. After are 180 miles journey from our home, it felt like we had come home. Switched off and relaxed.
