With the Gloucestershire Way almost on the doorstep, this is an enviable location for walkers and cyclists alike, keen to explore the glories of the Cotswolds. You will be well-placed for exploring The Forest of Dean and you can experience a wide array of outdoor activities such as cycling, walking, horse riding, fishing, canoeing and kayaking on the River Wye. Or you could explore the River Severn, and experience the famous Severn Bore. The historic cathedral city of Gloucester is close by, and there are many wonderful National Trust properties including Chedworth Roman Villa, Hidcote Gardens, Westbury Court Gardens and Haresfield Beacon. Or you could even stay closer to home and meet the alpacas on the farm.

Entering this characterful property via the stunning courtyard, you will find yourself in the bright and welcoming lounge. Attractively furnished and with wood burner, TV / DVD, this is a lovely space to relax in. Exploring further, you will find a lovely traditional kitchen, with an ideal dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped withan electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine Bluetooth speaker and DAB radio. You will also find a comfy but spacious double bedroom. There is also a shower room complete with shower and WC.

Stepping outside, there is a delightful enclosed courtyard garden, which is equipped with garden furniture and BBQ and is just perfect for relaxing and unwinding in. There are also opportunities for farm activities. You could meet the alpacas, and alpaca walks are possible by arrangement during weekends and some evenings. Lambing takes place in February/March. Fruit picking is seasonal.

The Dairy was perfect for me, apart from one step from the kitchen, it is all on one level and is very well equipped. It is within easy reach of Gloucester so buying provisions was easy, as was accessing the attractions within the city. There are plenty of attractions nearby. The owners are friendly and helpful and I enjoyed meeting the Alpaca and Read morehelping feeding them. I would be happy to visit again, I was made to feel really welcome. Hide

Such a pretty cottage with absolutely everything you would need in it. Received a lovely welcome from Paul and Cathy. Such a peaceful cottage to relax in after a busy day exploring. The information folder was an excellent touch. It included the history of the buildings to local attractions, restaurants and supermarkets . Would definitely recommend Read morea stay here. Hide

Such a great property, with an enclosed garden and everything you would need for a week away. Hosts were welcoming, with good communication and the property clean. It's in a good location with access to the Forest of Dean, Malvern hills and Cotswolds.

We had a fabulous time at this beautiful cottage! We had our cocker spaniel with us that loved the garden. It had everything we needed in it. We visited all of the local countryside and the old steam railway. The owners were very welcoming.

All in all we had a nice stay - well placed to visit Gloucester and many of the Cotswolds villages. The reception was friendly, with Prosecco, cake and fresh eggs on the table. Evenings in the courtyard were mainly calm, with birds nesting and ducks and chicken around (unfortunately the roosters started at 3 AM, so better bring earplugs!). The inteRead morernet was a bit weak - sites to check opening hours etc. not always opened, but it was okay for whatsapp. Hide

The cottage is attached to a 16th century house, with own garden, dog friendly. The hosts Cathy and Paul were absolutely wonderful. Quiet hide away but so close to all hot spots Cotswolds, Cirencester, Forest of Dean (easy accessible path around water at Mallard Cafe) blue bell woods in May was a treat. Cheltenham was lovely to visit for the day. WRead moree took our border collie and decided to sample one of the many doggy parks. We booked Red Marley, large secure field. Great time! Hide

This is a good base to explore various areas, wish we had more days there. The cottage is a cosy, rustic retreat. We found it comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

Paul and Cathy were welcoming hosts, providing plenty of information about our stay in advance. The Dairy was comfortable, warm and cosy and a great place for our couple of days away to relax. The seated area under the porch was a lovely sun trap and a perfect place for a morning coffee listening to the birds. Wonderfully hospitable owners, Cathy & Paul made us feel extremely welcome from the onset and even before arrival with communication and nothing was too much. Fabulous enclosed garden space if taking a dog, well-appointed, comfortable accommodation, easy wood burner, Very highly recommended.

Very well equipped, comfortable holiday home. So quiet and restful. Our standard poodle just loved the outdoor space. Cathy & Paul are lovely hosts. Would highly recommend as central location to explore Gloucester and the Cotswolds

My husband and I stayed with our dog Barney over the Christmas period. It was honestly a complete oasis for us and we loved every minute, it felt like home straight away which was enhanced by how accommodating the hosts were, nothing was too much trouble, we had a lovely little Christmas hamper and the fire going upon our arrival, it really couldn'Read moret have been more perfect for a break away. A beautiful place. The welcome pack even included biscuits for our dog. And the garden was definitely dog friendly and safe. The owners could not be more welcoming and helpful. Decorated beautifully for Christmas. Will definitely go back again. Really can not rate this property highly enough. Perfect.
